When transporting GIFT tilapia fry, it is more delicate than other tilapia and more prone to stress. Therefore, accidents are prone to occur if the transportation operation is careless. Preparations before fry transportation should be made to reduce transportation deaths. Stop feeding 2 to 3 days before fry transportation. If possible, replace the fatter water in some fry ponds and flush clean water to let the tilapia fry compete for water and excrete some feces in the body. Perform intensive net pulling exercises once a day for more than 2 consecutive days to gradually adapt the fry to the dense environment. The difference between the temperature of the pond water and the temperature of the water in the transport vehicle cannot exceed ±3℃. When the temperature difference is large due to the high temperature of the pond, the fry should first be placed in a temporary holding pond or flushed into the hanging pond with river water (well water) with lower water temperature. The new water should be adjusted to the water temperature suitable for transportation before transportation. The water hanging time before loading should not be too long, and should be controlled within about 1 hour. When transporting, the fish must be carried with water in a bucket. There should be more water in the bucket than fish. It must not be carried dry or directly with a scoop. After adopting the above method, the transportation survival rate is higher. |
