Here are some effective methods for you:

First: Strengthen feed nutrition: Add 1 part per thousand of lysine and 5 part per ten thousand of methionine to the feed. The lack of limiting amino acids in laying hen feed can cause slow development of chicks.

Step 2: Additional lighting: 2 hours after the lights go out, you can turn on the lights for 1 hour to provide additional lighting so that the chicks can increase their food intake.

Third: Change the feeding method: Using wet feed can significantly increase the feed intake of laying hens. Therefore, using wet feed or directly spraying a little water in the feed trough is an effective measure to increase the feed intake of chicks.

Step 4: Carry out detailed grouping: The underweight of chicks does not mean that the entire flock is underweight. The chickens in the flock should be weighed one by one, and the chickens should be grouped according to the three levels of qualified, medium and poor. They should be placed in separate cages and fed separately to control their weight.
