How to transport earthworms?Water earthworms, also known as silk earthworms and red nematodes, are ideal baits for aquatic animals such as fish, turtles, shrimps, and crabs. For short-distance transportation, water earthworms are packed in boxes with a length of 0.63 meters, a width of 0.46 meters, and a height of 0.1 meters. The boxes are surrounded by wooden boards and the bottom of the boxes is stretched with polyethylene cloth. The shipping density is 3 to 4 kilograms. For long-distance transportation, nylon bags should be used for oxygenated transportation. Before transportation, they should be kept in micro-flowing water for 2 to 3 days to clear the intestines before transportation.
