1. What do fireflies eat?

Larvae: Firefly larvae are carnivorous. Terrestrial fireflies larvae mostly eat smaller snails. Adults: After metamorphosis, most fireflies do not eat or drink, and often only eat dew, honeydew, pollen, and nectar. However, in South America, a few species of fireflies will glow and prey on other fireflies or small phototactic insects.
