What kind of seafood is Gala?

Gala refers to clams, which belong to the phylum Mollusca and family Mactridae.

There are both warm-water and hot-water species of this family, and they are distributed in all oceans of the world. More than 30 species have been found along the coast of my country, mostly living in the middle and lower areas of the intertidal zone and the shallow seabed within 100 meters of the subtidal zone. A few can live in the deep sea over 100 meters and live in caves. Animals of the clam family have high economic value, tender and delicious meat, rich in nutrition, and are also the main species for beach farming in my country.

Nutritional Value of Clams

Modern research has found that clams contain a variety of biologically active ingredients such as carotenoids, lipids, polysaccharides, proteins, amino acids, polyethers, inorganic compounds and other types, and have multiple biological activities.

The nutritional characteristics of clams are high in protein, trace elements, iron, calcium, and low in fat. Clams are rich in nutrients, including protein, vitamins, carbohydrates, calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, and other trace elements necessary for the human body. Moreover, its amino acid composition and its ratio are relatively reasonable, and can be well absorbed and digested by the human body. After eating clams, you can provide yourself with a variety of nutrients.
