CATDOLL: How to raise small fish without dying and how to raise them to grow fast

When breeding small fish, it is necessary to do a good job of feeding, water temperature control, water change management and oxygenation to ensure their healthy growth. Sudden temperature changes can easily lead to their death. The breeding temperature should be controlled according to the type of fish. For example, for tropical fish or some wide-temperature fish, the water temperature needs to be kept above 20℃. If you want the small fish to grow up as quickly as possible, you need to control the breeding density, feed them adequately and do a good job of preventing diseases.

1. How to raise small fish fry without dying

1. Feeding

(1) For newly born fish fry, you can feed them with cooked egg yolk or brine shrimp.

(2) The method of feeding cooked egg yolk is to wrap the egg yolk with 1-2 layers of gauze and squeeze it into pieces. Then, place the gauze bag on the water surface and tap it gently, moving it while tapping, so that the egg yolk is evenly suspended in the water, allowing the fry to eat freely.

(3) After feeding with cooked egg yolk for 7-10 days, the fry will gradually grow larger. At this time, you can stop feeding them with cooked egg yolk and start feeding them with live Daphnia. When the fry grow to more than 1 cm, you can feed them earthworms, bloodworms, rotifers, etc.

2. Pay attention to water temperature

When raising small fish fry, you must pay attention to the water temperature. Excessive temperature changes can easily lead to their death. Generally, the temperature should be controlled in an appropriate range according to the type of fish fry. For example, for tropical fish or some wide-temperature fish, the water temperature needs to be kept above 20℃. If it is cold water fish fry, it needs to be kept below 20℃.

3. Change water regularly

(1) When raising small fish fry, you must be careful to change the water regularly. However, small fish fry are afraid of strong fluctuations in water quality. Be careful not to change the water too frequently, and the amount of water changed each time should not be too large. At the same time, pay attention to the temperature difference between the new water and the old water when changing the water.

(2) Generally, you only need to change the water once a week. If the water quality is good, you can change the water once every half a month, replacing 1/3 of the water in the water tank each time.

(3) If you are raising guppy fry, you need to change the water once a day, and replace 20% of the water in the tank each time. All the water should be changed every two weeks or so.

4. Proper oxygenation

Small fish fry have higher requirements for oxygen. If the dissolved oxygen in the water is insufficient, it will easily lead to their death. If the breeding density is not very high, there is no need to oxygenate all the time, only intermittent oxygenation is sufficient.

2. How to raise small fish fry so that they grow up quickly

1. Stocking density: If you want the fry to grow quickly, you need to pay attention to the stocking density. If the stocking density is too high, the activity space of the fry will be limited, which will affect their growth and development.

2. Adequate feeding: The growth of fry cannot be separated from sufficient nutrition. If the feeding is insufficient, it will affect the growth and development of the fry. Generally, they should be fed about 2-3 times a day, and each feeding should be finished within half an hour.

3. Disease prevention: Changes in water quality will increase the chance of fish fry getting sick. Daily preventive work should be done to ensure the cleanliness of the water. At the same time, some medicine should be regularly mixed into the food to play a preventive role.
