CATDOLL: How to survive the winter of goldfish spider plants? How to cultivate goldfish spider plants

1. Increase the temperature: Chlorophytum comosum likes a warm growing environment, and about 20 degrees is a suitable temperature for growth. If the temperature is lower than 10 degrees in winter, it may affect the growth, causing the growth to stagnate and slow down. If the temperature is too low, it will cause the plant to be frostbitten. In winter, the temperature must be guaranteed. It is best to move it indoors before frost. If it is kept outdoors, it can also spend the winter, but you can put a plastic bag outside the plant to keep it warm, and also avoid wind and frost.

2. Control watering: It likes a humid growing environment, but the temperature is low in winter and the water requirement is very little. Watering cannot be done the same as during the growing period. Just make sure the potting soil is not particularly dry and water it in small amounts by observing the condition of the potting soil.

3. Sunlight: Although the goldfish spider plant has a certain degree of shade tolerance, it needs sunlight in winter when the light intensity is low. It can be exposed to more sunlight at this time, and maintain more sunlight exposure for more than 6 hours a day. It cannot be kept in a dark place without sunlight for a long time. Only after exposure to sunlight can the branches and leaves grow lush and the flowers bloom vigorously.

4. Apply fertilizer in small amounts: The goldfish plant requires more fertilizer during its growth period, but needs less fertilizer in winter. You can apply fertilizer in small amounts, but never apply concentrated fertilizer.

5. Timely pruning: During the winter, you can prune the plants appropriately to remove dead branches and rotten leaves, which can also promote growth in the next year.
