There are places in Qingdao where sea eels are farmed, mainly in Jiaozhou. Eel breeding methods and precautions 1. Seed selection. Since eels are very expensive, we need to select those with good body shape, strong physique and high activity for seedling cultivation. Otherwise, they are likely to die, which will cause direct cost losses. Generally speaking, this type of seedling is selected to ensure the survival ability of eels, and it is easier for them to survive in the subsequent breeding management process. 2. Water quality management. As a marine creature, eels cannot live without high-quality water environment. It is recommended to breed them near Haikou. In order to restore the marine environment to the maximum extent, a special breeding ground is usually built at the breeding site. The water temperature is required to be maintained between 8℃ and 30℃. At the same time, it is necessary to pay attention to the speed of the water flow not being too fast, which will easily disperse the fish. In addition, oxygen pipes can be placed in the breeding area to ensure that there is enough oxygen in the water to support their activities. 3. Breeding density. The breeding density needs to be adjusted according to the species of eels. Generally, if it is a small eel, about 120 eels can be placed in one square meter. During the breeding process, it is also necessary to pay extra attention to the growth of the eels. For those with weaker growth, they can be separated and carefully cared for to avoid the law of the jungle. 4. Disinfection. Disinfection is an important task in the eel farming process, which can be roughly divided into three stages: first, before stocking, the fry need to be disinfected in order to remove various bacteria carried by the fry; second, before harvesting, the seawater in the breeding area is disinfected, mainly to remove bacteria bred by impurities left over during the breeding process; finally, disinfection is carried out again after harvesting to facilitate the next fish farming and to avoid pollution of the seawater. 5. Feeding. Eels are carnivorous fish that mainly feed on small fish, shrimps, crabs, earthworms and other animal foods. When mature, the digestive organs of adult eels will gradually atrophy and they will stop eating. There is no need to worry about this, as they will eat independently after laying eggs. |
