Things to note after neutering a cat:

4. The cat needs to be put on an Elizabethan collar to prevent it from scratching or licking the wound, which may cause the wound to split and become infected and fester.

5. Do not bathe your cat after sterilization surgery. Bathing may cause the wound to become infected and can easily lead to a cold.
