CATDOLL : Can kittens drink milk?

Kittens cannot drink milk. Milk contains high lactose, and cats are lactose intolerant and cannot digest lactose in the intestines, especially young cats, who lack lactase in their bodies. These indigestible lactose will cause the reproduction of some bacteria, absorb water and cause diarrhea. After feeding kittens with milk, it is very likely that the cat will suffer from intestinal discomfort caused by lactose intolerance, causing symptoms of diarrhea and vomiting. The fat chain in milk is long and not easily absorbed by cats, which can easily lead to volumetric diarrhea, which is more fatal to cats, especially kittens.

Kitten diet notes:

1. Kittens are in the stage of physical development and need to be fed 4-5 times a day to meet their nutritional needs, but at the same time, they should not be fed too much at one time. They should be fed at regular times, in fixed quantities, and in small amounts multiple times.

2. When your cat is young, you should encourage it to drink water more often, which will help it develop a good habit of drinking water.

3. The stomach and intestines of kittens are much more fragile than those of adult cats, so the owner can feed them some probiotics to regulate and aid digestion.
