CATDOLL : Why do cats step on milk?

Why do cats step on milk?

Reasons why cats step on milk:

1. When a cat is about two or three months old, its teeth are still growing and the teeth will feel itchy, so the cat will put its mouth on the milk and step on it.

2. When a male cat is in estrus, it will want to bite something and then step on milk.

3. If a cat lacks trace elements, it will suffer from pica, which will also cause this milk-stepping behavior.

Solution to cat stepping on milk:

1. Cat owners can prepare some toys for the cat to play with. When the cat starts to step on the milk, guide the cat to play with the toys instead of stepping on the milk.

2. When a cat is in estrus, the owner needs to consider finding a mate for it or performing sterilization surgery to solve its estrus problem.

3. Cat owners should feed their cats some trace elements for cats, such as Mineral Viqus, and keep feeding them for a period of time. During this period, teach the cat not to step on milk. Once the cat's body is supplemented with enough trace elements, these behaviors will no longer occur under the care of the owner.
