How long does a Siamese cat live?

The average lifespan of a Siamese cat is about 10 to 15 years. Generally, a Siamese cat can live about 10 years. If a reasonable breeding method is adopted, a Siamese cat can live about 15 years, and some Siamese cats can even live to 20 years old. So if you want a Siamese cat to accompany you longer, you must adopt the correct breeding method.

Ways to prolong the lifespan of Siamese cats:

1. Choose the best time for sterilization. The best time for Siamese cats to be sterilized is when they are 6 to 8 months old. If you do not plan to breed Siamese cats, it is best to take them for sterilization before they come into estrus. After sterilizing Siamese cats, reproductive diseases can be prevented and their lifespan can be extended by 1 to 2 years.

2. Vaccinate regularly. Siamese cats should be vaccinated with cat triple vaccine and rabies vaccine when they are about 9 to 12 weeks old. In the future, vaccinations should be given regularly according to the doctor's advice to provide a healthy growth environment for Siamese cats.

3. Do a good job of deworming. If you keep a Siamese cat, you must deworm it regularly. If the Siamese cat goes out frequently, the deworming cycle should be shortened. It is recommended to deworm the inside of the body once every 3 to 4 months and deworm the outside of the body once every 2 to 3 months.

4. Regularly expel hairballs. Although Siamese cats are short-haired cats, they still lick their fur frequently, which can easily cause hairballs to block the cat's stomach and intestines. When raising Siamese cats, you should regularly feed them some cat grass or hairball remover to help them gently expel hairballs.

5. Balanced nutrition. If you want to extend the life of Siamese cats, a healthy diet is very important. You can feed Siamese cats some cooked meat, canned cat food, freeze-dried food, healthy fruits and vegetables as supplementary food, and you can also choose a nutritionally balanced cat food as the staple food.
