What does a cat's unicorn tail mean?

The meaning of cat unicorn tail is:

A cat with a unicorn tail is a cat with a congenitally deformed tail. After many generations of reproduction, the mutated gene gradually becomes a normal gene with a stable sequence. This kind of cat is born with a very short or curved tail. This kind of cat is generally called a unicorn tail in folklore.

Features of the cat's unicorn tail:

Generally, a short, curved tail is called a Kirin tail. The Kirin tail is also a characteristic of the Kirin cat. It is a shape that is gradually formed after gene mutation and multiple generations of reproduction. Luo Shujin, a researcher at the School of Life Sciences of Peking University, and his team found that a gene mutation called T-box causes the short tail of the Isle of Man cat. Subsequent studies have found that the T-box gene mutation is not related to the Japanese Bobtail cat, indicating that other genes determine the length of the tail.
