Lobsters are omnivorous animals. Under natural conditions, they mainly feed on organic debris, attached algae, filamentous algae, roots, leaves and fragments of aquatic plants. They especially like to eat juicy and tender green plants, such as water hyacinth, water lettuce, Malaysian pondweed, duckweed and valuable grass. Animal food includes water worms, earthworms, eggs, pupae, snails, clams and fish meat of aquatic insects, etc. In artificial breeding, compound feed, by-products of agricultural and sideline product processing (cakes, rice bran, bran, etc.), leftovers from slaughterhouses, and various tender terrestrial grasses, fruits, and vegetable leaves can be fed. Additional information 1. Pond conditions. The pond surface should not be too large, and the suitable water surface is 1 to 2 mu, the water depth is 1 to 1.5 meters, and there is a complete drainage and oxygenation system; the pond bottom is slightly sloped, without leakage, and the escape prevention facilities are well repaired. Before stocking, the pond must be cleaned (dry method) to remove debris and weeds to avoid enemies and pathogens in the pond. Use 150 to 200 kg of quicklime per mu of water surface for disinfection. Lobsters like shade and are afraid of light. They are good at climbing and escaping. They require aquatic plants on the water body, which accounts for about 1/3 of the water surface. Water plants such as black algae and waterweed can be planted. At the same time, bricks, stones, bamboo tubes and other hidden objects should be set up at the bottom of the pond for them to live in. 2. Shrimp seedlings can be released after 7-10 days of lime water disinfection and normal water quality. The water temperature requirement is relatively high, and the suitable growth water temperature is 20℃-30℃. When it is below 15℃, it rarely feeds. The water body should maintain high dissolved oxygen, and the dissolved oxygen should be above 50 mg. The water transparency should be 30-40 cm. The pH value is 7.0-8.5. The shrimp seedlings of 1.5-3.5 cm are released, and the stocking density is 4000-7000 per mu. Reference: Baidu Encyclopedia - Lobster 1. Shrimps are omnivorous. In nature, their food ranges from dead fish and shrimps to grass leaves and algae. 2. The main raw materials of shrimp feed are basically imported fish meal, soybean meal, flour, seaweed meal, complex minerals, complex vitamins, cooked peanut meal, cooked cottonseed meal, cooked rapeseed meal, cooked rice bran, etc. 3. The algae that grows in the aquarium and the leftover feed residues of ornamental fish can be their food. You can also feed them some chopped spinach. 4. The types of aquatic plants collected are mainly soft, thornless submerged plants, such as Potamogeton edulis, Hydrilla verticillata, and Water Chestnut, which are all suitable types. 5. However, please note that river shrimps will reproduce by laying eggs in the tank. If there are only water plants and shrimps, the grass grows much slower than the shrimps and shrimp fry eating the grass. Small fish such as guppies are also needed to control the number of shrimps. Additional information Nutritional analysis of shrimp 1. Shrimp is rich in nutrients, and its meat is soft and easy to digest. It is an excellent food for people who are weak or need recuperation after illness. 2. Shrimp is rich in magnesium, which plays an important regulatory role in heart activity and can protect the cardiovascular system very well. It can reduce the cholesterol content in the blood, prevent arteriosclerosis, and at the same time dilate the coronary arteries, which is beneficial for preventing hypertension and myocardial infarction. 3. Shrimp has a strong lactation effect and is rich in phosphorus and calcium, and is especially beneficial for children and pregnant women. 4. Scientists at Osaka University in Japan discovered that astaxanthin in shrimp helps eliminate jet lag caused by jet lag. 5. No matter what kind of shrimp, they are rich in protein and have high nutritional value. Their meat is as soft as fish, easy to digest, and has no fishy smell or bone spurs. They are also rich in minerals (such as calcium, phosphorus, iron, etc.). Shrimp is also rich in iodine, which is extremely beneficial to human health. According to scientific analysis, the edible part of shrimp contains about 16-20% protein. Shrimp roe is very good. Food taboos 1. Shrimp and pumpkin: Eating them together can cause dysentery, which can be detoxified with black beans and licorice. 2. Shrimp and fruit juice: eating them together will cause diarrhea. 3. Shrimp skin and soybeans: eating them together will cause indigestion. 4. Shrimp skin and red dates: eating them together will cause poisoning. Additional information: Edible value of shrimps: Freshwater shrimp is warm in nature, sweet and slightly warm in taste, and enters the liver and kidney meridians. Shrimp meat has the effects of nourishing the kidney and strengthening yang, promoting lactation and resisting toxins, nourishing blood and consolidating essence, removing blood stasis and detoxification, replenishing qi and nourishing yang, promoting blood circulation and relieving pain, and stimulating appetite and resolving phlegm. It is suitable for patients with kidney deficiency, impotence, spermatorrhea, premature ejaculation, milk blockage, muscle and bone pain, hand and foot cramps, itching all over the body, skin ulcers, physical weakness and neurasthenia. Shrimp can be eaten with oats, leeks, cabbage (cooked), onions, coriander, bean sprouts, wolfberries, and tofu. However, it should not be eaten with oranges, watermelons, pork, pumpkins, tomatoes, kiwis, lilies, cauliflowers, and strong tea to avoid causing physical discomfort or poisoning. Modern medical research has confirmed that shrimps have extremely high nutritional value, can enhance human immunity and sexual function, nourish the kidney and strengthen yang, and resist premature aging. Eating fresh shrimps (fried, roasted, or stewed) regularly with warm wine can cure kidney deficiency, impotence, fear of cold, fatigue, waist and knee pain, etc. If women have little or no milk after childbirth, 500 grams of fresh shrimp meat, crushed, and taken with hot rice wine, 3 times a day for several days, can promote lactation. Shrimp skin has a sedative effect and is often used to treat neurasthenia and autonomic dysfunction. Shrimp is a delicious food that can provide nutrition for the brain. Shrimp contains three important fatty acids, which can help people stay focused for a long time. Shrimp, crayfish, and prawns contain a lot of vitamin B12. They are also rich in zinc, iodine, and selenium, and are low in calories and fat. Note: They contain a high cholesterol content, so people with high cholesterol should not eat them in excess. Many friends like the colorful ornamental shrimps. They look good in the grass tank as decoration, so they start to raise shrimps. This shows how cute these small creatures are. But raising ornamental shrimps is not an easy task. It is even more difficult than raising many tropical fish. If you are not careful, they will die in front of you...but it's all money. I started raising ornamental shrimps two years ago, and have raised bee tiger stripes, tennis balls, red nose cherry crystals, etc. I have bred a few varieties, and now I will briefly introduce to you some of my experience in raising shrimps (first of all, I am not an expert, and what I say is only suitable for beginners. If you find any problems, please point them out directly to avoid misleading fish lovers). Let's talk about the equipment first: 1: The breeding environment should be larger. Because the activity range of the shrimps in the big tank is larger, the shrimps born at the same time grow much faster than those in the small tank due to their large activity range. The water quality of the big tank is also easier to control than that of the small tank. Because of the large amount of water, there are more filters to choose from, and the effect is better than the water fairy or waterfall filter used in the small tank. Even if there is any change in the water quality, the speed is slower than that of the small tank. So it is relatively safer. 2: It is best to use a grass tank to raise small shrimp. Most small ornamental shrimps like to live in an environment with lush aquatic plants. They eat some algae or young shoots of aquatic plants and decaying corpses of organisms. This is why people think that shrimps are scavengers in nature. In addition, aquatic plants can absorb harmful substances in the water, maintain water quality, and provide shelter for small shrimps. But there are also some slightly larger shrimps with large claws. It would be more troublesome to keep them in an aquatic plant tank. These shrimps are very destructive, like to eat aquatic plants, love to dig holes everywhere, and can also catch small fish and shrimps to eat. Therefore, this type of shrimp is not suitable for being kept in a grass tank. 3: No matter what filter you use, the water inlet should be wrapped with a sponge or stockings. This way the shrimp will not be sucked away by the filter. 4: It is best to have mousse and driftwood in the tank The breeding environment is as close to that of nature as possible. Shrimp like to eat the young shoots of water plants, mousse or algae growing on the driftwood. 5: Hidden Objects Place more hiding places for shrimps to hide in, including porous driftwood, water plants, stones, bamboo charcoal, etc. Because shrimps are a vulnerable group in nature, they usually like to hide to avoid being attacked. Especially when molting, they are more vulnerable to fish or large shrimps. 6: Cool down in summer Shrimp are afraid of high temperatures, and different species of shrimp have different heat tolerance levels. But most of them cannot tolerate temperatures above 28 degrees. So in summer, a chiller or other cooling methods are essential. Water quality for shrimp farming: After raising shrimps for several years, I feel that the most difficult shrimps to raise are the honey bee, tiger stripe, crystal, and other types of shrimps. They have very strict requirements for water quality, and they will die if you are not careful. To raise these shrimps well, the pH should be controlled between 6.2-7.5 and the hardness should be 6-8GH. The red nose, cherry blossom, Yamato, and tennis are much better. They do not have too high requirements for the pH and hardness of water. The pH can be relaxed to 8 and the hardness can be 6-20. Water Transfer Friends in the south can raise these shrimps more easily because of the soft water. But the water quality in the north is mostly alkaline hard water, so it is a little more difficult. If you want to raise them well, you have to adjust the water. The simplest way is to mix ADA black mud and neutral water grass bottom sand. You can easily control the tap water within the range of PH6.5 and hardness 6-8. Because black mud itself has the effect of reducing acidity and hardness. Neutral bottom sand can prevent ADA from making the water too acidic and too soft. The price of black mud in Beijing is relatively high, and the lowest price is 180 yuan per bag (9 liters). You can also use peat moss and grass mud balls. But they are not cheap. It is also okay to use resin to reduce acidity and hardness, but the process is more troublesome and not suitable for novices. You can see the specific method in the comparative test here, so I won't waste my words. |
