CATDOLL: Catching crabs (how to catch crabs, telling you five ways to catch crabs)

Summary: [ Catching Crabs ]

It is almost the crab catching season. Many people will catch crabs to sell, while others like to catch crabs for fun and to enrich their spare time. So, how to catch crabs? Today, I will tell you five ways to catch crabs.

1. Catching crabs with bare hands

When raising crabs in ponds, due to the relatively small water area and high crab density, generally around October each year, the crabs will begin their reproductive migration and come ashore in large numbers to look for migratory channels, and can be captured directly at this time.

Be careful when catching the crab. You can use your index finger and thumb to hold the two sides of the crab's back shell tightly so that its claws cannot be used. This is safe and will not hurt the crab.

2. Digging holes to catch crabs

This is mainly aimed at some lazy crabs in the pond. They have relatively weak mobility and are not very sensitive to the stimulation of light and water flow, so they can only be caught by digging holes.

Using this method, you can use a small shovel or other tool to dig near the hole, and then catch the crab after it appears.

When catching a crab, be careful not to drag it directly when you first see it. Otherwise, not only will the limbs be broken, but it will also make the crab in the hole stick tighter to the mud, making it more difficult to catch.

3. Use Crab Net

Just like fishing, cast the net into the sea and put some bait in it. After a while, put on thick gloves (after all, the net is large and is subject to the resistance of the sea water. If you don't wear gloves, it is easy to hurt your hands) and collect the net, and you will find a surprise.

4. Use lights to trap crabs

Since crabs have a certain tendency to move toward light, when catching a small number of crabs, you can set up electric lights at the entrance of the pond, so that you can use the light to attract them.

Generally, you can dig several small pits under the light, put an iron bucket or mesh in the pit, and when the crabs crawl towards the light, they will mistakenly fall into the pit. At this time, you can lift the iron bucket or mesh to catch them.

5. Use other tools to capture

(1) Generally, around September to October each year, you can use ground traps, river traps, crab cages and other tools to catch crabs. The entrance of the catching tool must have inverted whiskers so that the crabs can enter but not exit.

(2) When catching crabs, be sure to place these tools in places where crabs often move and on migration channels, so as to block the crabs' activity routes.

(3) You can set up the capture tools on the first night and start catching fish early the next morning.

(4) When the water temperature is suitable, since crabs are still feeding, you can put bait in the tool to lure the crabs in, which will have a better effect.
