The breeding conditions and technology of yellow croaker

The breeding conditions and techniques of yellow croaker are as follows:

1. Pond requirements: The bottom of the pond is flat and the bottom is sandy soil. The water depth is more than 2m and the water source is required to be pollution-free. The water quality meets the standards for aquaculture water. The water transparency should be above 35cm. At the same time, it is equipped with various aquaculture equipment.

2. Pond cleaning and fertilization: Use 150kg/mu of quicklime to clean and disinfect the pond. After the bottom of the pond is fully exposed to the sun, add about 80cm of water and test the water with small fish and shrimp. After ensuring safety, deepen the pond water to more than 2m. Before releasing the fish, apply 150-200kg/mu of fermented organic manure.

3. Stocking fish: Stock fish when temperature conditions permit and water temperature is stable at about 10℃.

Yellow croaker is a bottom-dwelling fish. It often hides at the bottom of the water or in cracks in rocks during the day, moves and forages at night, and gathers in deep water to avoid the cold in winter. Yellow croaker is an omnivorous fish. Under natural conditions, it mainly feeds on animal food. The fry stage feeds on zooplankton, and the adult fish feeds on insects and larvae, small fish, shrimps, snails, clams, etc. It also eats plant debris, branches and leaves, fruits, etc.

Yellow croaker is a poikilothermic fish. Its survival water temperature range is 1-38℃, and its optimum temperature is 22-28℃. It starts feeding at 11℃. When the water temperature is below 22℃, the feeding rate increases with the temperature. When the water temperature is above 28℃, the feeding rate decreases with the temperature.

Yellow croaker

Yellow catfish (Pelteobagrus fulvidraco) is an animal of the genus Pelteobagrus of the family Pelteobagrus. It is distributed in Laos, Vietnam, China, North Korea, and the southeastern part of the Siberian Rocky Mountains in Russia. It feeds on insects and their larvae, small fish and shrimps, snails and clams, and also eats plant debris.

Will yellow croaker open at 10 degrees?

Usually, they will not open their mouths when the water temperature is below 11 degrees. The survival water temperature of yellow catfish is 1-38 degrees, and it will have discomfort reaction when it is below 0 degrees; the growth temperature range of yellow catfish is 16-34 degrees, and the best range is 22-28 degrees; the water temperature at which yellow catfish starts to feed is 11 degrees, and the feeding rate will increase with the increase of water temperature. When the water temperature reaches 29 degrees, the feeding rate will decrease with the increase of temperature.
