Why do cats at home become less clingy as they grow up?

Reasons why cats don’t cling to people when they grow up:

1. Become independent. As cats grow older, they also have the ability to think independently. Cats are solitary animals, and when they grow up, they no longer need to rely on their owners.

2. They start to remember grudges. When cats grow up, they are not as easy to fool as when they were young. If you beat a cat, it may remember it for a long time.

3. Territorial awareness. When a cat is young, you are its breadwinner. But when a cat grows up, you become a "slave" in its eyes. In the cat's world, all areas of the house are its territory, and you are just a "guest".

Factors that make cats clingy when they are young:

1. The body is too small. In fact, some cats seem to be very clingy when they are young, but in fact, it is because their bodies have not yet developed well and they cannot break free from the "constraints" of their owners.

2. Physiological needs. When a cat is very young, it needs food and warmth to survive. If the cat mom and dad are around, they will definitely be very dependent on them and will definitely stick to them.

3. Psychological needs. Kittens are not well developed physically and mentally. When they are very young, they can only rely on their owners. Many kittens are eager to be taken care of.

4. Personality issues. Different cats have different personalities. Some cats don’t like to stick to their owners, whether they are young or grown up.
