The pathogens are Saprolegnia and Corythuja. The hyphae are slender and branched. One end of them is root-like and grows inside the fish's skin, while the rest is exposed outside the body. The hyphae are up to 3 cm long, grayish white, and soft like cotton wool. In the early stage of the disease, the mucus on the surface of the fish increases, forming a layer of white film. In the late stage of the disease, the hyphae penetrate deep into the skin, and the mortality rate is very high.

You can choose 0.03 grams of malachite green or methylene blue, dissolve it in 10 kilograms of water, soak the sick fish for 3-5 minutes, rinse it with clean water, and put it in the aquarium. It takes multiple applications to recover.

White spots like pinholes grow on the body or gills of goldfish, which are caused by parasitic worms. The worms are most likely to reproduce when the water temperature is 16-20℃, so this disease often occurs in late spring or early winter. You can change the water less often and expose the fish to the sun more often; and use 1/500,000 mercuric nitrate solution for bathing. When the water temperature is below 15℃, soak for 1.5-2.5 hours, and when the water temperature is above 15℃, soak for 1-1.5 hours.

How to remove white hair disease in goldfish

① Place the goldfish in a 0.4‰ mixture of salt and baking soda for 24 hours to cure the goldfish from growing white hair.

② Use 1/50,000 potassium permanganate solution to clean the diseased fish twice in a row to change the color of the white hair. This will be effective.
