1 Seed source

2 Pond requirements

Freshwater shrimp consumes a lot of oxygen and cannot tolerate low oxygen environments. They are also benthic animals with poor swimming ability and like to move at the bottom of the pond. Therefore, the area for freshwater shrimp farming should not be too large. Generally, the area of ​​shrimp ponds should be 3 to 8 mu, with a slope ratio of 1:3 to 1:3.5, a water depth of about 1.5 meters, no silt at the bottom of the pond, and no pollution in the water source, which meets the national fishery water standards. Use quicklime to thoroughly clean and disinfect the pond half a month before stocking the seedlings, and install oxygenation facilities in each pond.

3. Planting water plants

1. Stocking of seedlings

Summer stocking is carried out around July. In August and September, there will be a batch of small shrimp fry hatched from eggs. By the end of the year, the size of this batch of shrimp fry is generally 2 cm to 3 cm, which can be used as spring stocking seedlings, usually 15 kg to 20 kg per mu.

2. Feeding management

According to the feeding habits of green shrimp, adhere to the "four fixed" principle. Generally, feed twice a day, at 8:00-9:00 a.m. and 5:00-7:00 p.m., 1/3 of the total amount is fed in the morning, and 2/3 of the total amount is fed in the afternoon. The bait should be thrown in shallow water areas with aquatic plants and spread evenly. The daily feeding amount of green shrimp seedlings is generally controlled at 3%-5%, and fine granular feed is fed in the early stage. As the green shrimp grows larger, particles of corresponding specifications can be fed appropriately. Carefully observe the eating situation of the green shrimp when feeding. Generally, it is advisable to finish eating the feeding amount each time in 2-4 hours.

3. Water quality management

In the hot season, water must be added or changed once a week. First, drain the old water at the bottom and then add 15 cm to 20 cm of new water. If you find shrimp floating at night or in the early morning, you must turn on the aerator and add new water. Especially in hot and humid weather or before a thunderstorm, you should add and change water 24 hours a day to keep the pool water in a state of micro-flow.
