CATDOLL : What vaccines can cats get?

Cats need to be vaccinated with a combination of a cat triple vaccine and a rabies vaccine, mainly to prevent infectious diseases and rabies. The vaccine for preventing infectious diseases is a cat triple vaccine, which mainly prevents herpes virus, feline panleukopenia virus, and calicivirus. The rabies vaccine is mainly for the prevention of rabies. It should be noted that the injection of the vaccine needs to be determined according to the age of the cat, and regular injections should be performed to ensure the effectiveness of the vaccine.

Things to note when vaccinating cats:

1. Cats can only be vaccinated against rabies when they reach 12 weeks of age, and then once a year.

2. After the cat is vaccinated, you should pay attention to preventing illness, keeping warm, and supplementing nutrition appropriately.

3. Be careful not to bathe your cat after vaccination. It takes about 7 days for the vaccine to produce a certain amount of antibodies. During this period, the cat's resistance is weak, and it is easy to catch a cold and get sick after bathing.

4. The body must be healthy when vaccinated. If you are sick or under stress, do not get vaccinated. For example, it is best not to get vaccinated when changing feed, location or owner.

5. After the cat is vaccinated, it may experience allergic symptoms such as swollen head, swollen face, and small red rashes on the body. Therefore, after the cat is vaccinated, the owner needs to wait and observe the cat for half an hour before leaving.
