CATDOLL: How to prevent and control Saprolegniasis in mandarin fish?

1. How to prevent and control Saprolegniasis in mandarin fish?

The disease can occur during the incubation of eggs, fry, fingerlings and adult stages of mandarin fish, mainly harming eggs and early fry, and is the main disease affecting the hatching rate of mandarin fish. The disease is easy to be infected when the water temperature is low during the incubation period, which can easily cause the fertilized eggs to stagnate. In severe cases, they will infect each other and cause a large number of embryos to die. If treated in time, the embryos can continue to develop. Saprolegniasis from fry to adult fish is mainly caused by careless operations during fishing and transportation, severe external injuries of the fish, and Saprolegnia infection of the wounds, causing the disease. The diseased fish often has white flocs on the surface of the body, abnormal swimming, loss of appetite, and even emaciation and death.

Prevention and control measures

① Maintain good water quality and be careful during fishing and transportation to avoid mechanical or accidental damage to the fish.

②Spray the entire pool with 0.2% salt water and 0.2% sodium bicarbonate solution.

③Spray Xinlu 50 or Xinyang Fish and Shrimp Strong Chlorine Essence throughout the pond.

2. What are the common diseases in the breeding process of mandarin fish?

Osmanthus fish is cultivated in a large area in the Pearl River Delta and has a long history of cultivation. As the number of this fish continues to increase, the number of diseases is also increasing, and the prevention and control is very difficult, especially the most common aphid disease in recent years. Less copper sulfate should be used in the middle and late stages of cultivation, because such substances are more toxic and have certain risks during use. Therefore, in the cultivation process, like to treat such diseases, some insecticides or zinc sulfate can be used.

The sweet-scented osmanthus fish has tender meat, no fine bones, and tastes sweet and delicious. It can be cooked into a variety of dishes. Sweet-scented osmanthus fish is a ferocious and carnivorous fish. It has a strong ability to distinguish bait. It mainly feeds on live fish and shrimp throughout its life. The pond for breeding mandarin fish requires a sandy bottom, less silt, an area of 3 to 5 mu, a water depth of 1.5 to 2 meters, convenient drainage and irrigation, light water, no turbidity, no sewage inflow, and a small amount of submerged aquatic plants. The newly opened pond depends on the soil quality. Acidic ponds and ponds with turbid water are not suitable for breeding mandarin fish. The intercropping cultivation method refers to cultivating palatable bait fish before stocking mandarin fish summer flowers, and then stocking mandarin fish fry, so that mandarin fish and bait fish grow in the same pond. This cultivation method generally stocks 8,000 to 10,000 mandarin fish of 3 cm per mu, and the stocking amount of bait fish is about 700,000 per mu.

Excessive nitrite in the aquaculture water is not only a major problem for mandarin fish farming. In fact, with the increase in aquaculture density, almost all aquaculture species face this problem. Overfertilization. This includes the application of organic and inorganic fertilizers. Some ponds have been used for aquaculture for many years, and the bottom mud is fertile. After the water enters, it will naturally cultivate abundant plankton, so there is no need to apply basal fertilizer or only a small amount of it. The basis for topdressing is to scientifically observe the water quality, and topdressing cannot be done at will.

Physical methods mainly rely on physical adsorption. Commonly used drugs are polymer flocculants, such as Jingshui Jiedubao, Sujie'an, Bishui'an, etc. However, physical methods are mainly used for auxiliary explanations. Although they are effective quickly, they are prone to recurrence.

Mandarin fish, also known as sweet-scented osmanthus fish, has tender meat and delicious taste. It is one of the precious freshwater fish in China and a species that earns foreign exchange through export. Its breeding prospects are promising. Its common diseases include comprehensive hemorrhagic septicemia, saprolegniasis, myxosporidiasis, anchor lice,

In the fingerling stage, the main manifestations are parasitic diseases, such as trichodinasis, tricholoma, and dactylariasis. In the adult fish breeding stage, the main manifestations are bacterial diseases, such as gill rot, enteritis, and tail rot. A few viral diseases, such as white liver and white gill disease, also break out. Sometimes there are complications of insects, bacteria, and viruses. Therefore, we must attach great importance to prevention and adhere to the principle of prevention first and combination of prevention and treatment.

Cheek rot

Gill rot exists in most aquaculture animals, including mandarin fish. Gill rot can be divided into bacterial gill rot, fungal gill rot and parasitic gill rot. The gill is an important organ for fish to breathe. If the gill is damaged and not properly prevented, it will cause heavy losses. Nowadays, high-density farming is used, and gill rot spreads quickly and poses a great threat.

For bacterial gill rot, use gallnut liquid, chlorine dioxide, and bleaching powder to sterilize, and then take allicin and aquatic multivitamin internally. For parasitic gill rot, kill the insects first, and then feed aquatic multivitamin to repair the damage.

1. Mandarin fish comprehensive hemorrhagic septicemia. In recent years, a serious disease characterized by "white gills" and "white liver" has occurred and spread in Mandarin fish farmed in the Pearl River Delta region of Guangdong. It is called Mandarin fish comprehensive hemorrhagic septicemia. This disease spreads quickly and has a high incidence rate. It is the most harmful viral disease. It is most prevalent in summer and autumn. It is less common in the fry stage and more common in middle-aged fish. The incidence rate is over 50% and the mortality rate is over 90%. 2. Saprolegniasis. It can occur in both fry, fingerling and adult fish stages. There are white floccules on the surface of the diseased fish and the tip of the dorsal spines. After the onset of the disease, soak it in 20%-30% salt water for 5-10 minutes, or soak it in 1% salt water with a few drops of vinegar for 5 minutes, or use high iodine + mold net, one bottle for 2 mu, all of which have good therapeutic effects.

3. The old turtle is sick, what should I do?

Give it some anti-inflammatory medicine.

4. How to deal with sick fish

It depends on the size of your tank. You can tell why the fish are rotten. Buy a bottle of oxytetracycline, follow the instructions and add the amount according to the proportion. Do this for three days in a row!

5. What to do if the fish is sick

It might be caused by a virus in the water! I should buy some disinfectant and sprinkle it in the water!

6. What to do if the fish is sick? There are white hairs on the fish

The skin turns grayish white or white, the body surface is covered with a layer of cotton-like white hair, and the muscles are eroded. These are symptoms of Saprolegniasis. How to quickly determine if an ornamental fish is sick? When an ornamental fish is sick, it will show a series of reactions. By observing the behavior, body color, and abnormal symptoms of other parts of the ornamental fish with the naked eye, you can determine what disease it is. 1. Abnormal body color: ① The body color of the ornamental fish is dull and lusterless, and the body is thin. These are symptoms of gill rot and cold. ② The skin turns grayish white or white, the body surface is covered with a layer of cotton-like white hair, and the muscles are eroded. These are symptoms of Saprolegniasis. View original post>>
