How to tell if there are clams on the beach?

First, you need to wait for the tide to go out before you can go to the beach to look for clams. Observe the beach where the tide has receded and look for small holes. There will be clams inside. Use a shovel to insert around the round hole and roll the shovel upwards vigorously. You can find clams in the soil that has been turned up.

Can you farm your own clams?

Selection of breeding sites

Clam farming should be carried out around the beach with more sand, in a relatively flat area with smooth air flow. It can also be carried out in a pond with a better natural environment. When choosing a breeding site, you must pay attention to whether the transportation is convenient, and avoid chemical companies and areas that are easily polluted. If you farm on the beach,

The sand must be turned over, and the turned sand must be exposed to the sun and the surface must be tempered before it can be repaired and leveled. If the area is often tidal, waterproofing must be done to prevent the tide from washing away the clams. If you raise clams in a pond, you must clean up the reservoir, drain the water inside, expose it to the sun, and disinfect it. After that, irrigate the treated surface before breeding.

Selection of clam seedlings

There are three types of clam seedlings: white seedlings, medium seedlings and large seedlings. Choose different clam seedlings according to your needs. When selecting seedlings, you need to pay attention to the uniform size of each batch of clam seedlings, and there should be no damage on the shell, which looks relatively healthy and attractive.

Planting

The time period for sowing depends on the size of the seedlings. Generally, white seedlings are sown in April and May, medium seedlings are sown from December to the next spring, and large seedlings are sown before laying eggs. There are two methods for sowing seedlings, dry sowing and wet sowing. Dry sowing is done after the tide has receded and the ground is exposed. The clam seedlings are evenly sown to avoid large piles. Wet sowing is done before the tide has receded.

Evenly spread in areas where the tide is slow, wet sowing has a long sowing time and a relatively high survival rate, but it is only suitable for large and medium seedlings. The relative density of seedlings must be paid attention to. If the relative density of seedlings is too high, the clams will grow slowly, but if the relative density is too sparse, the production will be low. Therefore, it is necessary to master the relative density of seedlings.

Management work

After planting, you need to check their condition immediately. If some of them die, you need to replace them immediately. Generally speaking, after one year of cultivation, they will need to replace less, and their ability to resist enemies will also be improved. At this time, we should store them in a relatively low-lying area for cultivation. During the cultivation period, we also need to eliminate those possible risks in time. Things like crabs need to be caught and expelled with nets or by hand.

You can judge by the sand on the beach. If there are bulges on the beach, it means there are clams. You can breed them yourself, but it is difficult to breed them, after all, it is a marine animal.

You can look at the small holes on the beach. Sometimes these small holes can actually produce clams, and clams can be cultivated by yourself.

Look for round holes on the beach after the tide goes out. You can find them at the holes. You can breed them yourself.

2. How to make fried clams at home

Material

800 grams of clams, appropriate amounts of onions, ginger, garlic, dried chilies, coriander, and chives.

practice

1. Prepare the ingredients: 800 grams of clams, some green onions, ginger, garlic, dried chilies, coriander, and chives.

2. Prepare a larger basin, put a little water into the basin, then add 2 spoons of salt and stir until the salt melts.

3. Pick out the clams with broken shells and those that are not fresh and throw them away. Put the rest in a basin and soak them for 2 hours to let them spit out the sand. (It is hot now, so be sure to put the basin in a cool place. Otherwise, the clams may die collectively.)

4. Cut the dried chili into sections, chop the onion, ginger, garlic, coriander and shallot and set aside.

5. Boil a pot of water, then put the clams in and cook for 30 seconds until they open slightly, then remove and rinse twice more. (By boiling and rinsing again, the sand in the clams is almost completely removed. It should be noted that the cooking time must not be too long, just until the clams open slightly)

6. Pour a proper amount of oil into the pot. When the oil is hot, put the red pepper into the pot to fry until fragrant. Then put 1 spoon of Pixian bean paste and 1 spoon of fermented black beans into the pot and stir-fry to produce red oil.

7. Add onion, ginger and garlic into the pot and stir-fry until fragrant.

8. Put the clams into the pot and stir-fry evenly.

9. Add 1 spoon of soy sauce, 2 spoons of cooking wine, and 1 spoon of sugar to the pot and stir well, then cover the pot and simmer for about 2 minutes until the clams are fully opened. (The purpose of simmering with the lid on is to make the clams mature more evenly and have more flavor. In addition, the time must not be too long, just until the clams are fully opened. If the time is too long, the meat will easily become tough.)

10. Add chopped coriander and chopped shallot into the pot and stir-fry evenly, then turn off the heat.
