CATDOLL: There are many weeds in water chestnut cultivation. What are some good methods to remove weeds?

During the process of rice stem cultivation, weeds in the field seriously affect its growth and yield, causing great losses to farmers. In order to more effectively prevent weeds in rice stem fields, proper identification of weeds is an important step. When planting, if the farmland is not selected well, the quality of rice stems will be poor and the yield will be insufficient. The best time to plant rice stems is from November to April, but there are also farmers who plant from June to August.

Spring is the best time to produce high-quality rice stems. When planting rice stems in this season, we must pay attention to the use and application of fertilizers to ensure that there is a stronger source of nutrients as a support when planting rice stem seeds for growth. When planting seedlings, we must pay attention to the quality inspection of seedling growth. If we do not pay attention to detailed analysis, it is very likely that rice stems will be diseased and its quality will deteriorate without knowing it. Always grasping the various stages of seedling growth and analysis is conducive to timely treatment and prevention of diseases and pests, and avoiding the large-scale death of seedlings planted with great difficulty due to diseases and pests.

Weeding should be carried out according to the various stages of the crop, which can not only help the crop reduce the damage of weeds to its nutrients, but also, to a certain extent, the weeds you remove can increase the temperature of the soil and better dissolve fertilizers, helping the water chestnut seedlings to better absorb nutrients and grow.

Agricultural and animal husbandry weeding is combined with tillage to remove weeds in the fields and around the countryside to ensure a clean countryside. Especially in the early stage of weeding or when there are fewer weeds, it is advisable to use manual labor to remove weeds in the fields.

Pest control: Raising ducks, crucian carp, carp, and Chinese mullet in the wild rice field can not only control the growth of weeds, but also improve the fertilizer efficiency of the wild rice field. Chemical control: ① After planting live plants or in the bud stage of the old wild rice weeds, weed the soil. 60% butachlor emulsifiable concentrate can control barnyard grass, sedge, sedge, sedge, duckweed, moss, knotweed, and small algae.

But it cannot prevent water triangularis, wild water chestnut, duckweed, wild arrowhead, etc. After the wild rice is planted or the old wild rice weeds sprout, use 100-150 ml of 60% butachlor EC and 40-50 liters of water for 1 mu, or mix with mud (sand) or 30 kg of fertilizer, and apply evenly to the wild rice field.

10% benzylsulfuron-methyl wettable powder can control duckweed, channa, moss, water shepherd's purse, pondweed, knotweed, cow hair felt, sedge, water sedge, broken rice sedge, etc., but it cannot control barnyard grass. After the wild rice is planted or the weeds in the old wild rice field are in the bud stage, 10% benzylsulfuron-methyl wettable powder 15-25 grams per mu is mixed with mud (sand) or 15 kg of fertilizer for topdressing.

50% promethazine wettable powder can control barnyard grass, chinensis, radix ophiopogonis, chrysanthemum, dwarf sagittaria, duckweed and annual sedge. After planting, mix 50-100g of 50% promethazine wettable powder with soil or apply organic fertilizer. 25% oxadiazine EC can control barnyard grass, chinensis, sedge, felt, radix ophiopogonis, chrysanthemum, chrysanthemum, algae and other weeds, but cannot control pondweed.

After the perennial wild rice is drained in autumn, 100-150 ml of 50% acetochlor EC is used for 1 mu, 40-50 liters of water are added, and the spray is evenly applied to the soil surface. 25% chlorotoluron wettable powder is used to control weeds such as field bindweed, grass head grass, bluegrass, chickweed, chickweed, veronica, and cleavers. After the wild rice is drained in autumn, 25% chlorotoluron wettable powder is used for 1 mu of weed germination, 40-50 liters of water are added, and the spray is evenly applied to the soil surface.

Common problems After planting live plants or during the bud stage of old rice weeds, the soil should be weeded. When spraying, the field should maintain a 3-5 cm water barrier, lock water for 2-5 days, and then resume watering. And pay attention that the water barrier cannot exceed the heart leaves of rice, and do not spray rice to prevent the drug from transferring to the stems of rice leaves.

Leaf stem modifiers are used for weeding. When spraying, the water in the rice field should be drained, and watering should be resumed one day after the spraying. Some farmers applied benzyl butyl wettable powder to the rice field, and the rice suffered serious fertilizer damage; 2-methyl-4-chloropropene was used during the rice fertilization period, and the fertilizer damage was likely caused by improper medication method or improper medication period. Therefore, it is generally not recommended.

It is recommended to conduct a small-area trial on the use of herbicides in wild rice fields, and then expand the area after success. In particular, it is necessary to pay attention to the correct spraying method and apply the medicine at the appropriate time. In addition to chemical weed control, the use of water and dry rotation can significantly reduce weeds in wild rice fields, and the effect of water control is particularly obvious.

Watering Leptochloa chinensis for four days can kill 70% to 80%. When the sedge weeds are almost all grown, flood with water and lock in water for more than 4 to 5 days. It is best not to use chemical herbicides in the rice field. If you need to use them, it is advisable to use the method of soil treatment in the early growth stage of rice.

Main weeds: duckweed, wild water celery, dwarf arrowhead, snakehead, raindrop, pondweed, water spiny, duckweed, hollyhock, duckweed, spiny water hyacinth, and sedge.

Weed prevention in wild rice fields

Agriculture and animal husbandry prevent weeding by soiling or manual weeding. Pest control: raising ducks, crucian carp, carp, Chinese soft-shelled turtle, etc. in the wild rice field can not only control the growth of weeds, but also improve the fertilizer efficiency of the wild rice field.

Chemical control: 1 to 3 days before the water chestnut turns green and sprouts, use 40g of 50% cypermethrin wettable powder per 664m2, spray it with 40-50kg of water or mix it with 20-20kg of fine soil for topdressing; when the seedlings begin to heading in large numbers, drain the water in the water chestnut field and use 75-100g of 70% dimethoate wettable powder, spray it with 40-50kg of water, and let it dry for 1-2 days after spraying; after the water chestnut heading, when weeds cover the field, use 150-250ML of 48% methicillin liquid per 664m2 and spray it with 40-50kg of water. Mix with dry water when spraying, and add water 24 hours after spraying; drain the pipes after the harvest of old茭白. After the water in the field is drained, use 100-150mL of 50% sethoxydim emulsifiable concentrate per 664m2, and use 40-50kg of water to spray the subsoil for pest control.

The main method of growing wild water celery in water chestnut fields is tillage and manual removal; during the growth season, manual removal is also the main method.

You can spray some pesticides at different stages of the growth of茭白, or irrigate and fertilize appropriately, which can all help avoid more weeds. You can adopt a mixed planting method, and you can use some weeding tools to pull them out. You can also remove the core and use local irrigation methods, or you can use some ground film.

Generally, you can use special herbicides to weed the oaks, and the speed is very fast. You can also use manual weeding, which is more tiring but the treatment is very clean.

Weeds in the water chestnut field are similar to those in the rice field, mainly barnyard grass, duckweed, sedge, cucurbit grass, pondweed, water sedge, and vertical flat-stem grass. (1) Agricultural weed control should be combined with tillage and land preparation to remove weeds in the field and around the field to keep the field clean. Especially in the early stage of weed occurrence or when weeds are less likely to occur, it is advisable to use manual weed removal in the field. (2) Biological control: Stocking ducks, carp, grass carp, Chinese mullet, etc. in the water chestnut field can not only control the growth of large weeds, but also increase the fertility of the water chestnut field. (3) Chemical control ① Weed control by treating the soil after transplanting live plants or during the bud stage of persistent water chestnut weeds.

You can spray some pesticides and then pull them out by hand, because it will be easy to pull them out, but this is a very time-consuming task. If you want to be more convenient, you can use a professional weeding machine to weed, which is very fast and effective. Many families do this.
