How to transport tropical fish over long distances?Transport of tropical fish Before transporting tropical fish, feeding should be stopped. The feeding water does not need to be changed. Generally, it is necessary to stop feeding for 1 day for short-distance transportation and 2 days for long-distance transportation. For short-distance transportation, plastic barrels with water can be used for transportation. For winter transportation, cotton wool can be used for warmth. Generally, cotton wool bags can be customized according to the size of fish bags. The plastic bags containing fish are placed in them and the cotton wool bag mouth is tied tightly. The water temperature can be kept unchanged for 1-2 hours. For long-distance transportation of tropical fish, transparent plastic bags of different specifications can be used. Large-sized plastic bags are 80 x 40 cm, and small-sized plastic bags are 40 x 25 cm. The packaging bags are all double-layered. For small-sized tropical fish, the bottom corners of the inner plastic bag can be tied with a thin rope. For large-sized tropical fish or species with hard fins, newspapers or paper can be sandwiched between the inner and outer plastic bags. The water in the bag should be enough to allow the fish to move normally, generally accounting for about 1/5-1/4 of the capacity of the plastic bag. When transporting tropical fish, you can use plastic bags. After putting 1/5-1/4 of the capacity of clean water in a double-layer plastic bag, gently put the fish in, use both hands to bring the bag mouth together, gently pinch the bag mouth with your left hand, and slowly squeeze out the air in the bag with your right hand until it is completely exhausted. Pinch the bag mouth with your left hand, insert the oxygen tube into the bag with your right hand, and when the oxygen fills 2/3 of the space in the bag, pull out the oxygen tube, turn the bag mouth clockwise with your right hand, and tighten the bag mouth with a rubber band. Tropical fish need to be transported in packaging boxes. In summer, hard cardboard boxes are mostly used. A piece of cardboard is placed at the bottom of the box. The plastic bags containing tropical fish are placed in order. Finally, a hard board is covered on the top. The box cover is closed and tied with packing tape for shipment. In winter, the plastic bags containing fish need to be placed in a foam plastic box. Depending on the length of transportation time and the temperature difference between the two places, a heat preservation bag with a water temperature of 50-60℃ is added to ensure the stability of the water temperature during the journey. The box cover is closed and sealed with sealing tape. Then a cardboard box is placed outside the foam plastic box and tied with packing tape. |
