They are also known as fighting chickens, biting chickens, and army chickens. When two males meet and fight for food or for a mate, they may put their lives aside and fight until their last breath.

At present, there are still many fighting cock breeding bases in China, including: Shandong Wuhu Sihai Rare Bird Breeding Park, Xinnong Special Poultry Farm, Xinnong Special Poultry Farm, Xinnong Special Poultry Farm, Huihuang Fighting Cock Breeding, Shandong Tiancheng Fighting Cock Breeding Farm, Shandong Taihua Special Rare Bird Breeding Farm, Shandong Xianghe Fighting Cock and Peacock Breeding Farm, Henan Wenxin Fighting Cock Breeding, Henan Wenxin Fighting Cock Breeding, etc.

1. Feeding and management of chicks

This is the most critical link in the training of fighting cocks. The newly hatched chicks should be in a suitable breeding environment. Generally, the room temperature should be 35-36℃ at 1-2 days old, and then reduce by 0.5℃ every day, and keep a constant temperature at 25℃.

2. Breeding and management of medium-sized chickens

At 45 days old, the chicks can weigh up to 0.5 kg, and the female chicks are easy to distinguish. At this time, they need to be raised in groups of males and females for good growth. Starting from 75 days old, the chicks grow rapidly, especially the increase of bones, and mineral feed (bone meal) and insects need to be added to the feed. People are used to feeding cicadas, earthworms and locusts.

3. Feeding and management of adult chickens

After 3-4 hair changes and the old wings grow out, the chickens are considered adults, usually 9 months old. In the four seasons of the year, there are differences between cold and hot seasons, and corresponding feeding and management methods should be adopted according to the seasons. The key point is: from the beginning of spring, meat should be removed, that is, fattened artificially, so that the chickens are fat and firm, so that they can fight.
