At present, chicken coccidiosis mainly relies on drug treatment. There are three main types of anti-chicken coccidiosis drugs currently used in China, namely polyether ion carrier antibiotics, chemical synthetic drugs and Chinese herbal medicine preparations.

(1) Polyether ion carrier antibiotic anticoccidial drugs mainly include monensin, lasalocid, salinomycin, maduramycin, hainanmycin, etc.

(2) Chemically synthesized anticoccidial drugs mainly include sulfonamides (including sulfaquinoxaline, sulfaclorac, etc.), chlorfenapyr, chlorpheniramine, amprolium, nicarbazine, diclazuril, baclofenac, dimethylthiamine, quinolines, etc.

(3) Chinese herbal medicine preparations mainly include Artemisia annua compound (80 g each of Artemisia annua and Dichroa, 60 g each of Sanguisorba officinalis and Paeonia lactiflora, 50 g each of Artemisia capillaris and Phellodendron amurense), Five Herb Decoction (equal parts of Eclipta prostrata, Herba Lycopodii, Herba Polygoni Multiflori, Herba Patriniae, and Herba Polygoni Multiflori), and new preparations such as Quqiujing .
