CATDOLL: What to feed bloodworms

Bloodworms can be fed with glucose solution, domestic sewage, algae, plankton and other foods, and they only need to be fed once a day to prevent food from spoiling and affecting the growth of the red worms. During the breeding process, the water for the red worms should be replaced once a day, and the dead red worms in the water should be removed in time to avoid water pollution.

How to feed red worms 1. Food selection

Red worms often grow in the mud at the bottom of the water and feed on plankton, organic debris, and animal feces in the water. When breeding, the red worms can be provided with food such as glucose solution, domestic sewage, algae, and baking powder solution to maintain their normal growth.

2. Cultivation vessels

Red worms are small in size, so you should pay attention to the choice of containers during breeding. If the number of breeding is small, you can use disposable paper bowls as breeding containers, but if the number of breeding is large, you should choose a plastic basin or iron basin with a larger diameter.

3. Change water regularly

Red worms have a certain demand for oxygen. When breeding them, the water should be changed once a day to prevent the reduction of oxygen in the water, the breeding of bacteria, and the impact on the growth of the red worms. In addition, red worms will secrete a kind of mucus during the growth process. When changing the water, the mucus must be cleaned to avoid water pollution.

4. Clean up in time

Red worms have a short lifespan and can only survive three to four days at most when artificially cultivated. Therefore, during the breeding process, the red worms must be used up in a timely manner, or the growth status of the red worms must be observed regularly, the dead red worms must be picked out and thrown away, and the healthy red worms must be left for continued breeding.
