CATDOLL: How should beekeepers prevent stings when keeping bees?

1. How should beekeepers prevent stings when raising bees?

The wasps fly into the bee farm to attack the bee colony during the breeding season. Sometimes they block the entrance of the bee colony, catch bees, suck the honey from the honey sac, and carry the bees back to the nest to feed their larvae. A small wasp eats 4 to 6 bees during its development period. The excrement is stored in this sac. After pupation, the sac becomes dry, hard and black, and it comes out with the shed skin. The pupa is yellow-white, and gradually darkens with maturity. The head, thorax and abdomen are distinct, and the main organs are clearly visible. The pupa does not eat. After it emerges in the beehive, it bites through the entrance of the chamber with its upper jaws and drills out.

This method is the simplest, that is, in the autumn when hornets are rampant, there are special people to take care of the apiary, prepare the tools to beat the hornets, and beat them when they are found. Many friends may use this method. Hornets are large and ferocious, and the time when they harm bees is concentrated from August to October. When there is a lack of nectar and pollen sources, hornets not only chase and prey on bees in the air, but also wait in front of the nest gate of the apiary, prey on the worker bees entering and leaving, and discard the chewed bee corpses at the nest gate. When the bee colony is weak and the nest gate is large, it will look funny and useless, but as a beekeeper who has been beekeeping for many years, I can tell you that although this method is simple and economical, it is time-consuming and laborious, and requires beekeepers to stay in the bee farm all day. Although it can effectively reduce the harm of hornets to bees, it can only suppress a small number of hornets. If the number of hornets is too large, it will not have a good killing effect.

You will find that there are fewer and fewer wasps. In fact, even if wasps don't come to the apiary to bite bees, they can catch bees in the wild nearby, so it is hard to prevent them. Bees reproduce quickly, so if they are caught by wasps, just treat it as natural loss and don't be too nervous.

But the effect was not satisfactory. Through my own exploration and screening experiments, I finally found a special medicine for dusha hornets this year. It has been used by many bee lovers all over the country and received very good feedback. Because of the great efforts, it was named Xiangxiang Peng's Special Effect Hornet Medicine.

Generally, beekeepers will wear conical hats, some masks, clothing to prevent bee stings, and gloves, covering all exposed flesh on their bodies, and spraying some medicines on their bodies.

If you are afraid of being stung by bees, you can wear some gloves and masks to protect yourself. Interact with the bees slowly and don't let them feel that you are aggressive. Try to keep the time for collecting honey fixed, don't be erratic, and don't collect honey every day.

First, beekeepers should have their own protective tools when raising bees, such as protective masks, clothes, etc. Second, beekeepers are better not to drink alcohol, as bees are very sensitive to smells. Third, beehives should be handled with care.

When beekeeping, beekeepers will wear bee caps to cover their faces to prevent bee stings. Some people also prepare some sprays. Bees will not actively attack people.

2. How to get rid of wasps in beekeeping?

If the wasps are really disturbing your life, you can also call 110/119 for help. I saw a news report on TV a few days ago. The situation was similar to yours. The resident called 119 to help remove the large nest. You can also find an insecticide company. If the nest is not very large, you can take some self-protection measures (such as wrapping yourself tightly...), take insecticide, and it should be enough to kill mosquitoes and flies. Spray the wasp nest first, and then remove the nest when the nest does not react. Be careful.

3. How to prevent beekeepers from attacking the ground emperor bees? In my hometown in the mountain village, when the oil-tea flowers bloom in October, my bees are often attacked by ground emperor bees.

Wear thick waterproof gloves, hold a glass cup in one hand, and when a wasp hovers at the entrance of the hive, use the cup to catch it, then catch it, use 502 to stick a small piece of camphor ball on it, and then release it, letting it fly back to the nest to harm the wasps.

This is a bit difficult

4. How to lure bees into the beehive? Which month is suitable for lure bees?

Apply honey evenly to the inside of the beehive, with a thickness of about 5 mm, and then place the beehive where the bees often move (twigs can be used as camouflage to increase the success rate). After that, check regularly to see if there are any bee colonies. If you find any bees, you can move the beehive to a normal beehive. The bee-luring location should be quiet, with sufficient nectar sources, sufficiently hidden, and free of wasps and other predators.

1. How to lure bees into a beehive

1. Methods of attracting bees

(1) Apply some honey evenly inside the beehive (the thickness should be about 5 mm), and then place it where the bees often move around. Insert some branches on the hive for camouflage, which can attract scout bees.

(2) Check the hive regularly to see if there are any bee colonies in it. If any bees are found in it, they can be transferred to a normal beehive.

2. Location of bee traps

(1) The surrounding area should be quiet enough and have sufficient nectar plants.

(2) The location where the beehive is placed must be free from harmful pests such as hornets and must be sufficiently concealed.

(3) The beehive should be placed in a location that is sheltered from wind and rain, and preferably warm in winter and cool in summer.

3. Notes

(1) The number of beehives can be increased appropriately to increase the chances of successfully attracting bees.

(2) There are no strict requirements on the material of the beehive, but there must be no odor in the hive that the bees dislike.

(3) After successfully luring the bees, the hive should be moved in time. The beehive can remain in the original location, but it must be restored to the original appearance when the bees were first lured.

2. Which months are suitable for attracting bees?

1. The suitable time to induce bee colonies to separate is from March to May each year, and the suitable time to induce migratory colonies is from July to August each year.

2. The best time to attract bees in spring is from March to April. At this time, the temperature gradually rises, the external nectar sources are more abundant, and the bee colony has bred a large number of larvae and has the basis for swarming.

3. The summer is hot, and bee colonies are prone to swarming, which is the peak period for bees to escape.

4. The best time to attract bees in autumn is October, when the weather is cooler and there are still some nectar-producing plants outside.
