CATDOLL: How to sell honey online

1. How to sell honey online

First of all, your positioning is very important. If you want to make pure honey, you must make it well and of high quality.

2. How to market honey well?

Many famous ancient medical books, such as "Compendium of Materia Medica", "Shennong's Herbal Classic", "Golden Chamber", etc., have records on honey, and its many effects such as strengthening the body, prolonging life, etc. are also supported by numerous examples!

How to sell honey well? This is also a problem that troubles many conscientious beekeepers today!

We all know that the factors that affect product sales are nothing more than: quality, price, and popularity. Let's analyze this:

1. Quality;

As far as the current situation in my country is concerned, high-quality honey - that which can truly be called "honey" - is in the hands of a small number of smaller beekeepers, who mainly raise bees in mountainous areas.

They do not blindly pursue high yields, but mainly focus on high-quality mature honey, and the general harvesting cycle is 7-15 days. For example, my father-in-law’s family raises capped honey in the mountainous area, and sometimes it takes 16 or 17 days to achieve the requirement (the end of the honey source), and finally it can only be left in the beehive as bee food.

As for the large breeders, who travel far and wide and number at least one or two hundred groups, they collect at least ten or even dozens of tons of honey during each flowering season. They have fixed buyers who can contact them at any time, so there is no problem with sales.

2. Price

This problem is actually very easy to analyze. For example, large breeders who transport honey from north to south (some of my relatives also have it) basically pursue output, and usually get honey within 2-3 days (of course, it is water honey with a concentration of about 36-39 degrees), and the purchase price is generally 5-7 yuan per catty (the purchaser gives this price. As far as I know, there was a large breeder who was delayed during the honey collection period and received a batch of honey with a concentration of 40 degrees. The purchaser did not increase the price, so he had no choice but to dilute the honey with water to 38 degrees and then sold it. The helplessness of the industry can be seen)!

Fixed breeders are usually smaller breeders in mountainous areas (usually in groups of thirty to fifty). Due to low production, inconvenient transportation, lack of information and other reasons, they are not affected by buyers and have continued to use the old breeding method. Honey is generally collected based on the capping method.

The harvesting period of such honey is generally 7-15 days. We can compare the price with the purchase price of external buyers: for example, if we take honey every 3 days, 100 jin each time, 6 yuan per jin means 600 yuan. If we take honey every 9 days, we can only take 100 jin, so we have to sell it at least three times the price, and it is still wholesale, but this still cannot be equal to the situation of taking honey every 3 days, because there are several more procedures for taking capped honey, and honey is very viscous and very difficult to shake!

So let's analyze it. The lowest wholesale price of mature honey in mountainous areas should be more than 30 yuan per catty!

If it is packaged and transported to us, 50 yuan per kilogram is a fair price!

In addition, this type of honey is the real honey, which has extremely high nutritional and health benefits, and due to various constraints, the price is around 180 yuan per catty, or even 100 or 200 yuan!

(Since the temperature is not constant, the crystallization varies greatly)

3. Popularity

We are all aware of this problem. Due to the fact that some companies are financially strong and have been in business for a long time, and there is no organization in our country that effectively promotes real honey, and the national testing agencies are ineffective in testing pure natural honey, etc., concentrated honey and blended honey are prevalent in our country, and are openly placed on the shelves and entered thousands of households (there are also countless fake honeys)!

The deep-rooted ideas and concepts of most ignorant consumers have also contributed to the continued prosperity of supermarket honey!

I have personal experience that the more you explain the characteristics of pure honey to them, the more they fear being cheated! The many inconsistencies in natural pure honey also increase the doubts of uninformed consumers, and in the end, they still choose supermarket honey!

If you want to market honey well, you must first let everyone know what your honey tastes like. If your honey tastes good, many people will definitely buy it.

First of all, you need to have a clear understanding of honey, and then use the Internet for marketing, which will be very effective.

1. The first step is to build your own brand. For example, I have created a brand called "Ou Yang Feng".

2. In the past, location was king, then traffic was king, and now fans are king. The key to marketing lies in the dissemination of information. If you want to sell agricultural products well, you must learn about the Internet.

3. Find a platform that suits you and do brand marketing. For example, on Toutiao, you can write articles, post videos, and broadcast live to share knowledge about identifying honey and record the process of beekeeping and honey collection. The difficulty of this method lies in persistence and slowly accumulating your own fans. This requires a process. If you do it well, it may be fast, but if you do it poorly, it may be slow, or even ineffective for a long time.

3. How to sell your own honey online

Here are some suggestions that I hope will help you:

1. Simplified operation: Don’t passively sell to those who come to receive the goods. Find related companies that need your products and become their supplier. You can go to several companies and choose the one with the best conditions. You can sign a long-term cooperation agreement with them, because the company actually buys the goods from the "consignee", but they make money in the middle! You can kick out the middlemen and cooperate directly with the company to supply goods, which can increase your income. If the company has a large demand, you can join the villagers to supply the company. You can be a representative, so you indirectly become a "consignee" haha! But your purpose is not to make money from the villagers, but to drive the development of the entire industry!

2. Industrial operation: In the early stage, name the honey produced by your family (have your own brand) and then make a simple package. It is recommended to use glass bottles, which can be used repeatedly, and sell them near you. However, you must pay attention to the issue of transferability and cost. Your simple packaging should be low-cost and transferable, that is, you can give it to friends if you use it well, or you can sell it in ordinary small stores and promote it through word of mouth. In the mid-term: after a certain sales volume, register your own brand, and then expand to other places through agency sales. Here, you can also unite the villagers to help you produce when the supply is insufficient, and you can sell it to them with your brand! In the late stage: you can also process the honey yourself to produce various related products and turn it into industrial operation!

Comprehensive analysis:

Advantages of the first method: simple and easy to operate, high stability!

Disadvantages of the first method: low potential for development and relatively low income!

The advantages and disadvantages of the second method are just the opposite! It depends on how you think about it.

If you think what I said makes sense, you can go to my blog and take a look. Some marketing knowledge should be able to help you. If you have any detailed questions, you can ask questions or leave a message above. I will do my best to help you. I hope you can achieve success in your career and your family’s career!
