CATDOLL: How much does it cost to breed centipedes? What are the techniques for breeding centipedes?

1. How much does it cost to breed centipedes? What are the centipede breeding techniques?

Assuming 200 mothers breed a batch (each breeding 60): the gross profit can be: 200 × 60 times × 1.5 yuan / mealworm = 18,000 yuan breeding cost: (based on rice bran: 3 kg of rice bran feeds 1 kg of yellow mealworms, 200 mothers eat an average of 20 grams of yellow mealworms per day) (1) Mother breeding cost: 20 grams × 3 times × 1.2 yuan / kg (rice bran) × 30 days × 8 months = 17.28 yuan (2) Breeding cost of 12,000 worms (the amount of food eaten by the worms is less than 1/2 of that of the mothers): 17.28 yuan × 60 times × 1/2 = 518 yuan (3) Labor cost (based on a maximum of 1 hour per day): 1 hour × 20 yuan / working day × 30 days × 8 months = 480 yuan (4 ), mother stock cost (based on 6 breedings): 3800/6=633 yuan (actually after many years of breeding, it can still be sold as a commodity) (5), breeding construction cost 200 yuan (6), disinfectant 50 yuan Comprehensive cost: (1) + (2) + (3) + (4) + (5) + (6) That is: 17.28 yuan + 518 yuan + 480 yuan + 633 yuan + 250 yuan = 1898.28 yuan Net profit per batch (time): 18,000 yuan - 1898.28 yuan = 16,101.72 yuan Artificial breeding of centipedes can be done in tanks, ponds, etc., using tanks, use old tile tanks or ceramic tanks, preferably with a diameter of more than 0.5 meters, bury the mouth downward in the soil about 20 cm, and compact the soil outside. The middle of the tank is built with bricks or adobes, about 10 cm lower than the tank surface, leaving a certain gap between the adobes and the tank wall. If you use an intact tank, do not knock off the bottom, just build adobe in the tank. A tank with a diameter of 80 cm can hold about 200 adult centipedes. When using a pond, the breeding pond should be built in a sunny, ventilated, drained, moist, and secluded place. It can be built indoors or outdoors. It is built with bricks or stones, and the surface is plastered with cement. The pool is 80 cm high. The size of the breeding pool is optional, generally 5-10 square meters. Paste smooth and intact plastic film on the inside of the pool mouth, or use glass sheets to form a circle of about 15 cm wide and at right angles to the pool wall. 500-900 adult centipedes can be placed per square meter of the breeding pond.

2. Is it difficult to breed centipedes?

Of course it is difficult.

Breeding is definitely difficult, but as long as you master the technology, stand firm, and work hard at breeding, there won't be any big problems. Everything depends on human effort.

First of all, technology is the guarantee. Without technology, there is no point in talking about recycling. If you really succeed in breeding, don’t expect to recycle. It’s not that you can’t recycle, but it’s a price issue. Successful breeding still depends on selling it yourself. Mastering first-hand sales channels is the foundation for the future development of centipede breeding.

Centipede breeding and reproduction is a big problem. Centipedes can only reproduce once a year. In addition, the breeding density is not as high as many online advertisements say. Only 50 centipedes can be raised in one cubic meter. If there are more, there will be problems.

3. How to raise the Northeast Stone Centipede?

1. Construction of breeding pond

Centipedes mainly live in low mountain areas with more rocks and less soil. When the temperature rises, they wake up from hibernation and start to move around. They like to live in damp weeds or rocky ditches. They avoid the heat in cool areas during the day and come out at night. They like to live in dark and humid caves. Therefore, when we artificially breed centipedes, we need to build a similar environment according to their living habits, plant trees and grass in the breeding pond, or place some tiles for them to climb and hide.

2. Feeding centipedes

It is a typical carnivore. It likes to eat live insects, such as crickets, locusts, dragonflies and other common insects. It also likes to eat eggs of bees and flies, spiders, earthworms, reptiles such as snakes, frogs and birds. Its food is extremely wide. When hungry, it can feed on tender leaves and buds of plants. When it is raised artificially, it is necessary to prepare enough food. It grows rapidly during the period. Generally, it is fed with mealworms in artificial breeding. Mealworms reproduce very quickly. When breeding centipedes, they can reproduce on their own, which reduces the breeding cost.

3. Stocking density

When breeding, you can choose to catch wild centipedes and choose healthy and healthy ones to release into the pond, but pay attention to the stocking density. If the stocking density is too high, they may bite each other and kill each other. In addition, when they are overly frightened or lack feed and drinking water, they will kill each other. Therefore, you must strengthen inspections when raising them. Once you find that there is insufficient feed and drinking water, you must add feed in time. Generally, the number of centipedes per square meter is between 200-300. As the centipedes grow, you must continue to reduce the stocking density.

4. Prevent pests and diseases

When raising centipedes, there are often many enemies and diseases that invade them. Common enemies include mice, toads, and ants. They will take advantage of the centipedes when they are molting or sleeping and eat them clean. In addition, you should also pay attention to poultry and birds. The main diseases are green muscardine disease, gastroenteritis, shelling disease, black spot disease, etc. These diseases can cause the death of centipedes. When breeding, you must do a good job of environmental work. You must keep the breeding environment cool and humid. The temperature should not be too high or too humid, otherwise it will easily lead to the growth of bacteria and harm the growth of centipedes. After the disease is found, it must be dealt with in time. After the condition is confirmed, the right medicine should be prescribed in time, and the best treatment time must not be missed.

4. How long is the centipede breeding cycle? Can it grow up in three months?

The normal cycle for centipedes growing in the wild is 2 to 3 years to grow from larvae to adults (over 12 cm).

Centipedes are artificially raised in outdoor greenhouses, 1.5 to 2 years old.

Artificial indoor tile culture, more than 1 year,

Artificial indoor soilless three-dimensional cultivation, 8 to 12 months.

The 3 to 5 cm long seedlings can become commercial insects from April to June.

Centipedes have a hibernation period and an activity period. Generally, they end their hibernation after the Qingming Festival in April and begin to live and reproduce. This period to June is also the golden period for introducing species for breeding. They enter the hibernation period around mid-November of the solar calendar. The length of the hibernation period varies according to the climate in different places. Centipedes reproduce once a year, starting to lay eggs in late June of the solar calendar, with the largest number in early July. After laying eggs, it takes about 45 days for the young centipedes to hatch before they leave the mother body and move alone. The body length of the young centipedes can reach about 5 cm in the same year.

Can't

It is reported that from hatching to growing to 6-7cm, centipedes can reach the commodity specifications of small strips, and the breeding cycle is about 1 year; if they grow from hatching to growing to 10cm, they can reach the commodity specifications of medium strips, and the breeding cycle is about 2 years, and at this time the centipedes have reached sexual maturity and have the ability to reproduce; if they grow from hatching to growing to about 12cm, they can reach the commodity specifications of large strips, and the breeding cycle is about 3 years.
