CATDOLL: What do scorpions mainly eat? What are their natural enemies?

【1】What do scorpions mainly eat?

Scorpions love animal feeds the most, including various insects and their larvae, centipedes, earthworms, meat meal, fish meal, frogs, birds, and beasts. Feeding scorpions with earthworms can help them grow and develop well, and can be used as the main feed. It is best to feed scorpions of the same age with earthworms of the same age. On average, each adult scorpion is given 30 mg of earthworms. After eating once, it can be fed for 6 days. Scorpions raised in 1 cubic meter of space can be fed with earthworms raised in 2 cubic meters of space to meet the requirements. Therefore, when raising scorpions, it is best to also raise earthworms or maggots, earthworms, etc. for comprehensive utilization. In addition, milk, oil (mutton fat, butter, lard), eggs, etc. are rich in nutrition and have good palatability. They are important ingredients when combining plant feeds. Plant feeds mainly include cereals, bran, and grass. If these feeds are not processed and are only put in, they are generally not eaten, and they are not digested after being eaten. They must be steamed, fried, ground, and then mixed with appropriate minced meat, fish meal, oil, milk, etc., mixed evenly, and placed on a food tray for feeding, but the amount of food intake is not large. Do not sprinkle the feed directly into the activity area or the habitat. Put the feed in a food tray and water tray for water. The food tray should be a shallow tray with a side height of 1 cm. Put some artificial sponges or stones in the water tray as a pad for the scorpion to stay and absorb water.

【2】Scorpion’s natural enemies:

The main natural enemies of scorpions are geckos, mice, ants, etc.

1. Gecko

Geckos are agile, good at burrowing into gaps, difficult to be discovered, and resistant to poison, and are not afraid of scorpion stings. They mainly harm young scorpions.

2. Rats

Rats are good at climbing and digging holes. They not only harm scorpions and their feed insects, but also destroy scorpion breeding facilities.

3. Ants

Ants not only snatch the scorpions' feed insects, but also attack and devour the scorpions in groups, which is more harmful to young scorpions and scorpions that are molting or have just molted and have not yet regained their ability to move.

4. Other natural enemies

In addition to geckos, mice, and ants, scorpions are also often attacked by poultry, birds, and snakes.

Hope you will accept it~
