CATDOLL: Homemade fly trap? (Fly catcher)

1. How to make your own fly catcher?

1. To make your own fly trap, prepare the following materials: an empty water bottle, scissors, and waterproof glue. Then follow these steps:

1. Prepare an empty soda bottle, which can be a used bottle, and cut off the mouth of the bottle. Use one of the blades of the scissors to poke a hole in the bottle, preferably at the junction of the bottleneck and the bottle body (near the middle of the bottle).

2. Connect the two cut parts. First, apply a thin layer of adhesive on the inside of the top of the bottle, turn the funnel upside down, and then insert it into the bottle. Press the funnel and the bottle together with your fingers. Stick them together by hand until the adhesive dries.

3. Then place the bait at the bottom of the fly tinker and you are done.

2. Precautions

To better capture flies, you should also pay attention to the following matters:

1. Because the types of flies in different places are different and their preferences are also different, the bait can be adjusted according to the actual situation.

2. If the application range is large, you can put more fly traps. Flies like light, so put them in a sunny place in spring and autumn, and in a place where the sun can't shine in summer.

2. How do fly-catching bees catch flies?

1. When a fly-catching bee sees a fly, it will stare at it intently, waiting for an opportunity to move, and then quickly catch the delicacy in its eyes - the fly.

2. Fly-catching wasps belong to the animal kingdom, phylum Arthropoda, subphylum Monochamus, class Insecta, order Hymenoptera, and are natural enemies of flies.

3. The newly born baby flycatcher is transparent, and even the liver can be seen. The flycatcher also transforms into a bee in a cocoon.

3. What is the most effective way to catch flies?

The more suitable method is to use fly paper or mix 2% trichlorfon in rice with sugar or rotten fish and vegetables to lure and kill flies. Keep it moist to enhance the toxic effect, but do not expose it to direct sunlight or rain. You can also use trichlorfon or chlorpyrifos to spray flies directly. In the hot summer, when using electric fans for ventilation, you can add a few drops of wind oil on the fan blades, which can also effectively kill flies.

4. How do fly-catching bees catch flies?

There are two effective ways for fly-catching bees to catch flies. One way is to rely on the concealment of their own bodies to confuse the flies and slowly approach them, waiting for the opportunity.

The second method is to use your speed advantage to quickly subdue the fly.

5. How to catch flies?

1. Prepare a larger plastic bottle, and then cut two 1 cm wide long openings at the bottom of the plastic bottle. Be careful here! Cut, don't cut it through, just cut a small opening.

2. Then lift the cut plastic upwards.

3. Next, cut the mouth of the bottle.

4. Put the watermelon rind into the plastic bottle. Then put the cut plastic bottle back on the plastic bottle.

5. Such a product can effectively trap flies as long as it is placed in a place where there are many flies. Watermelon rind can effectively attract flies. After the flies crawl into the plastic bottle through the two small slits, they can no longer fly out.

There is food in the plastic bottle, which can attract flies. Because of the characteristics of flies taking off, flies take off at a 45-degree angle. So when it enters the plastic bottle, it can only fly upwards, not to the sides, so it will be trapped in the plastic bottle. By taking advantage of the characteristics of flies taking off, we can effectively catch flies.

6. How to catch flies alive at zero cost?

1. Find a disposable cup or a used beverage bottle and cut it in the middle, leaving only the bottom.

2. Add milk powder water or sugar water to the container to 2/3 of the volume.

3. Cover the cup/bottle mouth with plastic wrap, but be careful not to cover it too tightly.

4. Cut a few small holes in the plastic wrap at the bottle mouth. The size of the hole should be slightly larger than the size of the fly. Press the plastic wrap down into the cup/bottle, with the hole facing downward.

5. The simple fly catching device is made and can be placed on windowsills, balconies and other places.

7. How to catch a fly?

There are many ways to deal with it. Catching it with your hands is inefficient and unhygienic. Using a fly swatter is easier to get rid of, but it looks a bit disgusting. Using medicine and sprays is efficient, but it pollutes the air. Using a fly trap has the disadvantage of wasting electricity. You can also prevent it in advance, improve environmental hygiene, kill insect eggs, and reduce the environment for breeding flies.
