CATDOLL: Will raising snails bring viruses? (Will raising snails bring viral infections)

1. Are there any bacteria in farmed snails?

Ordinary snails also have a lot of bacteria. Snails live in the wild and like to go to dark, humid places with a lot of humus, so they carry a lot of bacteria, viruses and parasites. It is best not to touch them casually. Snails are mostly saprophagous, feeding on decaying plants. They can drill into the humus for up to 12 hours to absorb nutrients. They have strong resistance to cold, heat and dryness. There are many kinds of snails, and snails are distributed in all provinces and regions of my country. They are one of the agricultural pests.

2. How many babies does a snail give birth to at a time?

Snails lay about a thousand eggs, but the number of eggs they lay is related to their weight. In biology, snails are not a unique category name, but also represent other species of gastropods. Many people believe that snails have a variety of viruses, but snails can now be legally farmed because snails are not only edible, but also have high medicinal value. Of course, snails also have a high yield, so for farmers, it is a low-cost, high-income breeding variety.

Speaking of the production of snails, perhaps many people don't know how many eggs a snail can lay? You may not believe it, although the snail is small, it can lay thousands of eggs. According to farmers, snails lay eggs about 6 times a year, and the number of eggs they lay is proportional to their weight. The first snail lays only about 50 to 100 eggs. If the snail weighs about 90 grams in the second year, its egg production will increase to about 800 eggs. In the third year, if the snail weighs about 120 grams, its egg production will reach more than 1,000 eggs.

These three years are the peak period for snails to lay eggs. After these three years, the number of snails laying eggs will also decrease. When a snail is about to lay eggs, it will find a piece of soft land and drill to a depth of about six or seven centimeters before laying eggs. The eggs laid by snails are like pearls. Of course, some snails lay red eggs. After about ten days, they will hatch into small snails.

However, the newly hatched snails will not go out to find food. They will survive in the soil for a few days before crawling out of the soil. Because the shell of a newly hatched snail is actually very fragile and soft, it is absolutely impossible for it to break through the soil. However, as time goes by, its shell will become harder and harder, and it will slowly crawl out of the soil and start living independently. By that time, the hard shell will also play a role in protecting it.

3. Are garden snails poisonous?

Non-toxic

1. Generally, snails are non-toxic, but some snails have certain toxins, such as cone snails and sea snails. However, non-toxic snails can provide many benefits to people. For example, snails can make some contributions to the environment and add delicious delicacies to people’s food.

2. Snails can also contribute to the environment. The content of metal pollutants in the snail's digestive gland is an important indicator of the degree of soil pollution. By testing this indicator, the degree of environmental pollution can be reflected, and people can understand which major environments need to be improved in a timely manner.

3. Snails can also be made into food for people to enjoy. In the UK and France, snails are made into a variety of delicious dishes. Snails have also become a famous dish in France. Many French people will order snails when they eat in restaurants.

4. Are snails harmful to humans and the environment?

Snails are small, weak molluscs that pose no direct threat to humans. However, there are two risks:

1. In extreme cases, snails may carry some viruses that are harmful to the human body, and direct contact may bring risks to the human body;

2. If you eat it without cooking it and it carries germs, it will cause illness or poisoning. This situation is similar to the situation in Fujian and other places where people got sick from eating snails a few years ago.

5. Do snails in rural homes have viruses?

I think there shouldn't be any. You can think of it this way. If there were, wouldn't all the rural people be sick? Any creature can carry a virus, so the best way to prevent creatures you don't know is to not touch them. Common creatures are usually fine, so if you accidentally touch them, nothing will happen.

I grew up in the countryside. I was very naughty when I was young. I played with ants, caterpillars, snails, and toads. It was okay. If you touch them, it's best to wash your hands. It's okay if you don't wash them. According to my experience, ordinary rural snails are harmless, so don't worry. If there is something wrong, I won't live to be 40 years old, haha!

6. Are blue snails poisonous?

The vast majority of snails are non-venomous, but there are some that are poisonous.

Additional information: Poisonous snails are generally distributed in the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. Among them, there is a kind of cone-shaped snail that injects venom into the body of its prey when catching it, which can cause paralysis of the prey.

Snails living in the wild contain a variety of viruses and parasites that can make people sick.

Snail is a mollusk that lives on land. It is a terrestrial mollusk with very high edible, medicinal and health value. Its edible and medicinal history has been more than two thousand years.

7. Are snails poisonous?

Snails are molluscs, very weak, and do not pose a direct threat to humans. However, there are two risks: 1. In extreme cases, snails may carry some viruses that are harmful to the human body, and direct contact may pose a risk to the human body; 2. If they are not cooked and carry pathogens, they may cause illness or poisoning. This situation is similar to the situation in Fujian and other places where people got sick from eating snails a few years ago.

8. What harm do snails do to humans?

Snails are small, weak molluscs that pose no direct threat to humans. However, there are two risks:

1. In extreme cases, snails may carry some viruses that are harmful to the human body, and direct contact may bring risks to the human body;

2. If you eat it without cooking it and it carries germs, it will cause illness or poisoning. This situation is similar to the situation in Fujian and other places where people got sick from eating snails a few years ago.

9. If I pick up a small snail on the road, can I give it to my child to raise?

Don’t pick up snails for your children to play with, because you don’t know what bacteria or viruses the snails have.

10. Are shell-less snails poisonous?

Shell-less snails are not poisonous.

Slugs, also known as slugs, water slugs, and slugs, are molluscs of the class Gastropoda. Their shells have degenerated into a lamellar structure, forming a row of granules, or have completely disappeared. They form the order Stylophora with some snails. They are hermaphroditic and look like shellless snails. Their bodies are oblong and about 4.5 cm long. There are two pairs of antennae at the front of the head, and the pair at the back is longer, with an eye at the top of each.
