CATDOLL: What water and requirements are needed to raise dragon fish

1. What kind of water and requirements are needed to raise dragon fish

Without saying anything else, let's think about how to maintain water first...

80CM ground port, not too big or too small, enough for the initial stage. First of all, what kind of filter do you use? I think the initial top filter is better.

Cheap, convenient, and very effective. I bought a good one, Chuangxin for 100 yuan, and a cheap one, Jiabao, for 35 yuan. I was not satisfied with either one and went to the fish market to ask someone to make it for me, which cost about 50 yuan. Chuangxin is very good, in my opinion.

Clean the fish tank, dry the water (at least 3 days of drying), install the filter, and start the pump. The water starts to circulate, and you can plant whatever water plants and rocks you want.

This went on for 3 days.

On the 4th day, fish are added. This is called "fishing in the tank". It is commonly known as adding small fish to establish an ecosystem. Buy the cheapest fish that are least likely to die, such as zebras. (Zebras are also fast-swimming small fish in the upper layer. You can continue to raise them later. Unless you want to raise maps or parrots, zebras can also be used as breakfast...)

About 4 to 8 fish are in the tank. After the fish are in the tank, add 3 times the amount of nitrifying bacteria and then filter (from the first day of fish farming, your filter should always be turned on. It does not waste electricity. Generally, your tank only has a 12W pump).

After that, add one to two bottle caps of nitrifying bacteria every day.

The water will basically be ready after a week, and the safest time is half a month. As long as the fish in your tank can be raised, they will definitely not die, unless some specific fish have special requirements on the softness or hardness of the water. It depends on the water quality in your city. However, this requirement is not something you can handle, so avoid raising these fish.

Do you want to raise small fish? Big fish? I think you should not raise too many kinds of fish when you are just starting out. First, you don’t know what kind of fish you really like. If you raise too many, you will be blind and unable to understand the habits of each fish. It is recommended that you raise no more than 4 kinds of fish.

If you want to raise ground fish, I would like to introduce two of the most practical, beautiful and domineering ground fish. You can only raise two of them, otherwise your tank will not be able to accommodate more.

As for small fish, there are peacock, zebra, golden thread, red lantern (difficult to raise), lotus lantern, etc. You can raise 20 of these.

Medium, kiss, manlong, rainbow shark, black Mary, Lili, vest, no more than 10. 8 is best, 2 of the same, see for yourself.

I like the rainbow shark the most. Hehe, this guy was only 2, 3, 4cm when I bought it, and it grew to 18cm in my tank. When it was small, it was fearless and dared to bite anyone. Later, when we divided the tank, there was no place for it. I was ready to give it up and give it away, so I put it in the map tank. I thought the two of them would not last for a few days and would be bitten by the map. The result!!! After 3 days, they bit the map and ran around everywhere. I laughed to death.

2. What are the water quality requirements for raising dragon fish?

Is it a silver dragon, a gold dragon or a red dragon? It doesn't matter if it's a silver dragon. A friend of mine uses tap water and now his silver dragon is 54CM tall. Let me introduce it to you.

Silver Arowana: The pH value is 6.8-7.2, the dissolved oxygen is 7 mg/L, and the temperature is 28°C. Silver Arowana has fewer diseases. As long as you pay attention to prevention, the breeding success rate is almost 100%.

Golden Arowana: The water quality requirements are not very high. Tap water with pH 6.5-7.5 can be properly dechlorinated (exposed to the sun). The suitable water temperature is 23-29℃, and it is generally adjusted to 25℃ in winter. Pay more attention to changing the water. Do not change the water too frequently or too much, so as not to cause scales or fins to fall off (they can regenerate over time). It is advisable to change 1/4 each time. A submersible pump can be used to form water flow in the fish tank to keep the golden arowana active. There are few viruses, which are generally not fatal. When damaged or infected, it can be treated with salt and aquarium antibiotics.

Red Dragon: Red Dragonfish is the most expensive species among freshwater ornamental fish, and breeding is more troublesome. Red Dragonfish requires weakly acidic to neutral water quality to survive, and soft water hardness is required. The pH value is between 6.5-7.5, the DH value is 3-12, and the water temperature can be 24-28 degrees Celsius. An extremely strong filtration system is required. The nitrite and chlorine content in the water should be zero. Generally, it is only raised alone and not mixed.

3. Novice Arowana

It is best for beginners to raise silver dragons first, or you can learn from the Supreme Dragon Fish Network.

4. What is the best water temperature for raising dragon fish?

28 degrees is better
