Abalone has considerable market sales. What are the experiences in abalone farming?

Abalone is mainly raised in hanging, which can be divided into bamboo raft and hanging rope. My family has both methods, the only difference is that the bamboo raft takes up less space. Talking about feeding: We feed abalone here mainly with red vegetables, asparagus and kelp.

1. Cultivate with stone nets.

2. Seabed caisson aquaculture.

3. Build ponds for breeding.

4. Ground farming.

Abalones generally feed on seaweed. They like clean and fresh seaweed as bait. If you choose to soak dry algae, you can also eat it. When abalones are cultivated artificially, the selection of abalone seedlings is very critical. You should choose seedlings with bright colors, uniform sizes, and no obvious scars on the shells.

Generally, they reproduce in summer and autumn. After the eggs are fertilized, they will pass through the planktonic trochophore larvae and the disc larvae, and then sink to the seabed and metamorphose into young abalone. The growth of abalone is fast or slow. After one year, the shell can reach 2-3 cm, and after two years, the large one can reach 4-5 cm.

Here we feed abalone mainly with red cabbage, asparagus and kelp. When feeding kelp during the seedling period, the shell grows faster and more obviously. The shell grown by eating kelp is green. If there is no kelp, you can also feed red cabbage. The shell grown by eating red cabbage is red (the same is true for asparagus). Winter is the growth period of abalone. We have to grasp the feeding time. In the slow growth season, it is the opposite. The growth lines are dense and the distance is closer. Sometimes it is not easy to directly judge the exact age of the abalone shell from the growth lines on the front of the shell. We can clean the algae, lime worms and other things attached to the shell surface, and use electric light to see the growth rings of the abalone shell.

Secondly, abalone likes to eat seaweed, especially chickweed and wakame. When feeding, it is necessary to feed after changing the seawater. Attention should also be paid to the selection of abalone seedlings. The species with strong adaptability to the environment and strong vitality should be selected. Artificially cultivated abalone can generally be harvested in about 8 months.

Abalone transportation uses two methods: dry transportation and wet transportation. Generally, dry transportation is used for short-distance and short-time transportation, while wet transportation is used for long-distance and long-distance transportation. Plastic boards are usually used as abalone attachment bases for transportation, and they are placed in clean and disinfected hard containers. The transported abalone must be selected and temporarily raised to increase the survival rate of transportation. Fresh abalone can be stored for 1-2 days, frozen abalone can be stored for 3-6 months, and dried abalone can be stored for 6-12 months.

When breeding abalone, you should choose some good abalone seeds. Prepare some breeding boxes, preferably around the sea area, put some seaweed plants, the circulation should be good, the water should be pollution-free and free of impurities, and a stable sea area should be selected, the survival rate of abalone will be very high.

We need reefs to create their living environment, we need to maintain the water temperature, increase nutrition, increase oxygen content, and master their reproduction characteristics.

Pay attention to choosing the appropriate feeding conditions for the fish, as well as the breeding techniques, the combination of feed, the selection of varieties, and the water quality issues.
