CATDOLL: What feeds are used in freshwater aquaculture?

1. What are the feeds used in freshwater aquaculture?

At present, the break-even yield per mu of freshwater shrimp farming (according to the situation in the Pearl River Delta) is 350-400 jin (based on this year's shrimp price), and the normal yield per mu is 500-800 jin. Those with some skills can basically reach more than 800 jin, and those with better luck can reach 1000 jin. A very good master with good luck can reach about 1500 jin. The most special case I have seen is 3000 jin. This is a soil pond!

2. Expert advice: What kind of feed is better and more affordable for the four major carps in aquaculture? Recommend

Most fish farmers are concerned about this issue, but it is ultimately a question of cost performance. If I use good feed, the fish will have fewer diseases and grow faster, and I will make money. If I use inferior feed, the breeding cycle will be longer, and the labor costs will increase invisibly. So I recommend using medium- and high-end feed.

3. Tell us about your breeding experience. What kind of feed do you think is good, has low feed consumption, and grows well?

Many feeds are good, such as Zhengda, Shuangbao, etc. However, many people think that the price of complete feed is too high. Generally, pig farms prepare their own ingredients. But if the level of self-preparation is not good, the effect will not be very good. In the end, it takes a long time to market, and the cost is about the same. Therefore, the best way for friends who use complete feed is to improve the utilization rate of feed. How to improve it? You can add Bacillus subtilis or Hypidebao to the complete feed. I have tried both. In the end, Hypidebao is the best, so I have been using it now.

4. How to choose feed with the best benefits in aquaculture

In this way, the total amount of bait needed for the whole year can be calculated, so as to arrange the beverage plan and funds needed for the whole year, avoid funding and feed gaps, and make preparations early. Generally, July, August and September are the peak growth period, and the amount of bait accounts for 65% of the entire growth process. During this period, seizing the opportunity and preparing enough bait can ensure the normal growth of fish.

2. Daily feeding. Calculate the amount of feeding planned for the whole year and the proportion of each month. You can also calculate it based on the 1% to 5% increase in fish weight to get the average monthly feeding amount. Generally, the average amount is in the middle of the month, less in the first ten days, and more in the second ten days.

3. Daily feeding frequency and time. For summer flower fry, the water temperature is higher and the individuals are smaller, so the daily feeding frequency should be no less than 5-6 times. From July to September, the fish are most active in feeding and grow fastest, so the daily feeding frequency should be 4-5 times. After October, as the water temperature drops, the feeding frequency should be gradually reduced until the fish stop eating. Each feeding time should be no less than 20 minutes, in order to ensure that the fish are 80% full and not wasted.

4. Feeding principles and methods. The general principles are uniform, sufficient and good. Uniform means feeding evenly every day according to the fish's needs. This can not only prevent diseases and ensure normal growth, but also improve the efficiency of feed utilization; sufficient means the most appropriate amount of feed to meet the needs of fish; good means the quality of the feed is high, nutritionally complete, palatable, fresh, etc.

Timing, quantity and positioning are the basic feeding methods. At the same time, the frequency and quantity of feeding should be flexibly determined by considering the weather, water quality, and the fish's eating and activity conditions.

In summary, to achieve good economic benefits in aquaculture, the use of feed mainly depends on quality, not price (of course, high quality and low price are better). Under the condition of good funds and growth conditions, farmers should choose high-quality feed and adopt scientific feeding methods.
