2. How to identify sea bass when buying fish?

The body of the perch is elongated and laterally flattened. It is generally 30 to 40 cm long, weighs 400 to 1000 grams, and has a slightly concave interocular septum. There are 4 ridges in between. The mouth is large, and the lower jaw is longer than the upper jaw. The snout is pointed, and the teeth are small, arranged in a velvety tooth band on the two jaws, the vomer and the palatine bones. There are fine serrations on the rear edge of the preoperculum, and blunt spines on the corners and the lower edge. The lateral line is completely parallel to the dorsal edge of the body, the body is covered with fine ctenoid scales, the cortex is rough, the scales are not easy to fall off, and the dorsal side of the body is blue-gray. The ventral side is grayish white, and the body side and the dorsal fin spines are scattered with black spots. With age, the spots gradually become less obvious. The two dorsal fins are slightly separated. The first dorsal fin is well developed and has 12 hard spines. The second dorsal fin consists of 13 fin rays; the pelvic fin is located slightly behind the starting point of the pectoral fin. The base of the second dorsal fin is light yellow, the pectoral fins are yellow-green, and the tail is forked and light brown.

3. Can someone please identify what kind of fish this is? !

Hello! This is a pang pi. It is a small fish that likes to make a noise in the fishing nest. Its scales are colorful in the sun.

4. Are there river fish?

Of course there is, that is freshwater bass. These two fish are actually the same species, but they have different features.

The perch we usually talk about is divided into freshwater and seawater types. Freshwater perch is best from Songjiang, Shanghai. Songjiang perch is plump and round, no more than ten centimeters long, weighing more than one hundred grams, with a large and flat head, a wide mouth and small eyes, yellowish brown, with a few black stripes and a few black spots. Seawater perch is best from the waters of Hebei. The lower jaw of seawater perch is longer than the upper jaw, the back is blue-gray, the abdomen is white, and there are small black spots on the back.

Songjiang perch is not only delicious, but also nutritious, with a protein content of 17.82%, a fat content of 1.62%, and rich in carbohydrates, calcium, iron, phosphorus, vitamins A and B. In addition, Songjiang perch can be used as medicine to treat pregnancy edema and fetal restlessness in women.

Therefore, of course, you would choose Songjiang perch to avoid the trouble of distinguishing whether the perch is a freshwater fish or a saltwater fish. Because if you do not live by the sea and are not very familiar with perch, you may sometimes be deceived if you only rely on what the boss says.

Songjiang perch is more expensive, but compared with sea bass, it is not outrageously expensive.
