Growth habits of grass carp

How to choose fishing gear for natural dace?

If the dace we want to catch is under 500 grams, we can use a thinner fishing line. If you want to catch a heavier dace, you need to consider whether to use a fishing line with obvious anti-bite properties.

When choosing a fishing line, you should make sure it is based on the condition of the dace's lips. Although there is basically no big difference in the lips of dace of similar size, we know that the lip structure of dace is quite unique, and there is usually a circle of strong stratum corneum on their mouths. Therefore, the fishing hook commonly used for dace should be slightly larger than the fishing hook commonly used for grass carp of the same size.

Fishing line: The weight of dace is generally less than 1 kg, so the fishing line should not be too large. The sub-line can be 0.8-1.5 nylon line, and the main line can be 1.2-2.5 nylon line. However, the specific size should be determined by comprehensive consideration of fish conditions, water conditions, seasons and other factors.
