(2) Basal fertilizer should be applied 5 to 7 days before stocking fish fingerlings. The amount of basal fertilizer accounts for about 70% of the annual fertilizer application. (3) Topdressing should be done in small amounts and multiple times. Topdressing generally uses chemical fertilizers, but manure can also be used. The dosage should be strictly controlled. Usually, 3-5 kg ​​of urea, 6-10 kg of superphosphate, or 2-3 kg of potassium nitrate per mu should be applied at one time. Ammonia water, ammonium chloride, and ammonium bicarbonate should not be used. When applying topdressing, the water level should not be lower than 5-7 cm. It is also necessary to avoid applying multiple fertilizers at the same time. When applying, fish ditches and fish ponds should be avoided.
