CATDOLL: How many loaches can be raised in one acre of land?

One acre of land can raise 400,000 to 500,000 loaches.

Generally, 400,000 to 500,000 loach water flower seedlings can be raised in one acre of underground, and they can grow into commercial loach specifications four months after the seedlings are planted; and generally, 60,000 to 80,000 inch seedlings can be raised in one acre of underground, and they can grow into commercial loach specifications three months after the seedlings are planted.

What are the key points for breeding loach farmers?

1. Stocking and water quality control: Stock 280-300 kg of neatly sized, smooth-surfaced, disease-free and deformed loach seedlings (300 loaches/kg) per mu. Before stocking, soak and disinfect them in 3%-4% salt water at 10-15°C for 15-25 minutes.

When the loach is first put into the pond, the water depth is maintained at 10-20 cm. As the loach grows, the water level is gradually deepened to the appropriate depth. It is usually shallower, but can be deepened during hot weather. New water should be added frequently to maintain a good water environment. When the weather is hot and humid, the pond water is prone to lack of oxygen. If loach is found to swim to the surface and spit out air, new water should be added in time or oxygenation measures should be taken.

2. Pond soil quality. The soil quality has a great influence on the effect of raising loaches. Production practice shows that loaches grown in clay soil have yellow bodies, more fat, soft and tender bones, and delicious taste; loaches grown in sandy soil have black bodies, slightly less fat, harder bones, and worse taste.

3. Feed selection. Loach is an omnivorous small fish with a wide range of feed sources. Water fleas, earthworms, fly maggots, etc. are natural bait organisms for loach. Under artificial breeding conditions, it can be fed with rice bran, bean cake, bean dregs, blood meal, wheat bran, etc.

The food intake of loach is closely related to water temperature. The daily feeding amount in March is 1% of the total body weight of loach, the daily feeding amount from April to June is 4% of the total body weight of loach, the daily feeding amount from July to August is 1% of the total body weight of loach, and the daily feeding amount from September to October is 4% of the total body weight of loach.

4. Feeding skills. When raising loaches in ponds, do not feed them within 2 days after the loach fry are put into the pond. Feed them after the loach fry have adapted to the pond. Feed them at a fixed time, in a fixed quantity, with a fixed quality and in a fixed position. When feeding loaches during the breeding process, you can judge whether the actual amount of feed is appropriate by observing the surface phenomenon of the pond.
