CATDOLL: How to remove the skin of soft-shelled turtle and how to kill it

1. How to remove the skin of soft-shelled turtle and how to kill it

I have seen turtles being killed, the process is as follows:

Use a small stick or something to lure it to bite, then hold its head and chop it off directly with a knife.

Turn it over with its belly facing up, cut a cross with a knife, and take out the internal organs.

2. How to deal with the turtle epidermis

1. After killing and bleeding the turtle, scald it with 70℃ water first; 2. Then scald it in 90℃ water and take it out; 3. Scrape off the rough skin on the neck, claws and skirt, cut through it along the skirt with a knife, remove the internal organs and rinse it clean; 4. Cut off the tip of the turtle's claws with a knife, then blanch it in boiling water and wash it after draining

3. Why does the turtle shed its skin?

Shedding skin. Turtles and crocodiles all do this. Grow taller. Get more sun.

4. How to remove the membrane on the turtle’s shell? A simple method!

Use hot water above 80℃ and below 90℃ for 1-2 minutes, and then you can see that some of the skin will fall off by itself. Finally, you can push away the skin that cannot be removed by yourself. We call it "pushing sand"
