What medicine should I use to raise fish with water show? The rusty stuff is a common brown algae in fish tanks. It only affects the appearance and does not cause much harm to fish. In the past, some people tried to control algae by increasing the KH value and calcium content in the water. This should explain the phenomenon of more brown algae in soft water fish farming. Brown algae exists in every fish tank, it's just a matter of quantity. Poor light (such as fish tanks placed near the balcony in direct sunlight or the light spectrum is wrong), too much nitrate and phosphate in the water, and insufficient oxygen are the main reasons for the production of brown algae. The fundamental solution is to improve the light, reasonable breeding density, feeding frequency, and increase the dissolved oxygen. The symptomatic solution is to manually brush it off, choose algae-removing organisms according to the fish you raise (I personally recommend snails), and add moss and algae removal agents (use with caution, it may affect the water quality and may harm the fish). Soft water fish farming is of course good for fish that are suitable for soft water quality, but not for fish that are suitable for hard water. It depends on what water quality the fish are suitable for. How many times a year should fish ponds be treated with pesticides and when should they be used?It depends on the size of your fish pond, water quality and stocking density. Usually 20~30 days |
