CATDOLL: Why do Hebe and Ella eat vegetarian food? How long have they been eating vegetarian food?

1. Why did Hebe and Ella become vegetarians? How long have they been doing so?

HEBE and ELLA from SHE have been vegetarians for nearly two years. They started eating vegetarian food without any special reason, and they don’t stop eating vegetarian food for any special reason now. “We just eat when we want to.”

In SHE, except for Selina, HEBE and EL-LA have been vegetarians for nearly two years. It all started with HEBE. During the SARS epidemic that shook Taiwan, HEBE, who was resting at home, watched the "Accumulate More Merits" lecture by Tzu Chi Master Cheng Yen on Da Ai TV and naturally started to eat vegetarian. She said at the time, "Maybe one day I will suddenly want to eat meat and I will eat meat." ELLA was later influenced by HEBE and gradually reduced her meat intake. Only Selina has always been a foodie.

After the news of the three of them feasting on steak at Shih-Hsin University Night Market appeared in the newspapers, some fans felt strange: "Aren't ELLA and HEBE vegetarians? Why are they feasting on steak?" After asking the record company, it turned out that the two had been eating meat for a while. They might have started eating meat unconsciously before filming "Destiny's Child". There was no special opportunity or reason. They just suddenly wanted to eat meat and started eating meat. It was completely in line with their personalities.

In fact, HEBE started to eat vegetarian food based on a word from Master Jun Yen. She did not make any special trouble to her colleagues. She ate whatever vegetarian food was available, even those at the table. She also brought her own vegetarian pork floss when traveling abroad. She also had amazing perseverance. When SELINA and ELLA feasted on king crabs in Hokkaido, she could also enjoy the vegetarian pork floss.

2. How to raise love crabs? What do they eat? What kind of environment is suitable for them to survive?

In fact, the real name of the love crab should be "fiddler crab". Whenever the tide rises, it will hide in the cave and hold up its strong and powerful claws at the entrance of the cave, as if waving to welcome the arrival of the tide, hence the name "fiddler crab". Its body color also changes with the day and night. It is dark during the day and turns light gray at night. Love crabs are easy to raise. Just feed them some vegetables, watermelon rinds, etc. every day.

Fiddler Crab

A genus of the family Sphaerocephalus in the order Decapoda. The cephalothorax is trapezoidal. It is wide in front and narrow in the back, with a narrow forehead, wide eye sockets, and slender eye stalks. The size of the male's two claws is very different. The large claw (called the mating claw) is very large, even larger than the body, and weighs almost half of the whole body. The small claw is very small and is used for feeding (called the feeding claw). The female's two claws are small and symmetrical, with spoon-shaped knuckles, both of which are feeding claws. It is widely distributed in the intertidal zones of tropical and subtropical areas around the world. It is a warm-water crab with gregarious nature. There are about 10 species of the genus Fiddler Crab in China, and the common species are: Arc-edged Fiddler Crab, Concave Fiddler Crab, White Fiddler Crab and Ringed Fiddler Crab, etc. They are distributed in coastal provinces and Hainan, Taiwan and other provinces.

Fiddler crabs live in burrows and often have a specific burrow, but they often change every few days. The depth of the burrow is related to the groundwater level. Generally, the bottom of the burrow must reach the moist soil. Many male crabs also build a semicircular umbrella-shaped cover to cover the entrance of the burrow. The activities of fiddler crabs follow a certain pattern with the rise and fall of the tide. During high tide, they stay at the bottom of the burrow. After low tide, they move to the beach, eat, and repair the burrow. Finally, they occupy the burrow and prepare for mating. They rely on vision and hearing to receive signals of communication, contact, and warning. They realize social aggregation behavior. Fiddler crabs feed on sediments, can swallow mud and sand, ingest organic matter in them, and spit out the inedible parts. Before mating, males can wave their large claws to perform various show-off performances to attract females. When they move in the intertidal zone, they seem to call the tide, hence the name fiddler. Then the females follow the males into the burrow for mating. At night, males often use their large claws to rhythmically tap the ground to attract females. To raise love crabs, you need to prepare seawater, sea sand, stones covered with seaweed, and empty shells. Use a container, first spread the sea sand, put in the stones, and then slowly pour in the seawater, just slightly higher than the sea sand, and finally put the empty shells upside down on the sand, and then leave it in a place with light, and you're done! Seaweed can absorb the excrement of hermit crabs as nutrients, so the water quality is not easy to deteriorate, and you can save the trouble of frequent water changes. What food do hermit crabs eat? It will use its front claws to find organic matter in the sand to fill its stomach, and it will also eat the bodies of dead animals. In addition, rice, bread crumbs, and fish feed are also accepted! If the seawater is used up, just go to the aquarium to buy a box of artificial sea salt, add 3.33 grams (about three teaspoons) of sea salt to 100cc of fresh water, and mix it thoroughly. If the sea sand turns black or the seawater bubbles, remember to replace the sea sand and seawater.
