CATDOLL : How often should Ragdoll cats be dewormed?

How often should Ragdoll cats be dewormed?

Ragdoll cats under one year old should be dewormed every three months, and those over one year old should be dewormed every six months. If the cat is semi-free-range or often taken out, the deworming frequency should be increased. The cat bed should be disinfected and exposed to the sun regularly. If the cat is found to have parasites in its body, it should be dewormed every three weeks. At the same time, the hygiene and disinfection of the home should be done well to prevent the recurrence of parasites. Cat deworming should be done at all times. If the cat is infected with parasites inside and outside the body, it will not only affect the cat's physical health, but also cause the cat to suffer from skin diseases.

Precautions for deworming Ragdoll cats:

1. Cats cannot be dewormed right after being vaccinated. An interval of 5 to 7 days is required.

2. Cats should not be dewormed when they are sick, anemic or malnourished, because deworming drugs have certain side effects, such as vomiting, diarrhea, etc.

3. Cats should be dewormed 3 to 4 hours after eating, and the cats should be fasted for 5 to 6 hours after taking the deworming medicine to ensure the effectiveness of the medicine.

4. Choose anthelmintics from regular brands. The use of anthelmintics must also be in accordance with the dosage specified in the instructions.
