1. Bait and state The bait for fishing silver carp and bighead carp should have a reasonable atomization state. I personally think that when fishing silver carp and bighead carp, the state of the bait is more important than the taste of the bait. The key to fishing silver carp and bighead carp is, first of all, to use highly atomized fish-attracting nesting materials to quickly gather fish. Secondly, use appropriate methods to control the atomization state of the bait to ensure that the bait can reach the swimming layer where the silver carp and bighead carp belong, and ensure that the complete atomization process is within 20 seconds. Therefore, silver carp and bighead carp special baits and oil bran, bran, and rapeseed powder are generally used to make fishing baits and nesting baits. Bait: Generally, silver carp and bighead carp bait, mixed with oil bran, bran or rapeseed powder are used to scatter bait and make nests. The smell of rotten eggs and white rice vinegar are not intentionally added. The state of the bait should be guaranteed to be scattered as soon as it enters the water, and the nest is made by hand throwing towards the float. Bait: Generally, silver carp and bighead carp bait is used as the basic bait, and other baits are used to adjust the atomization speed of the bait. In order to ensure that there is bait residue on the hook for atomization when fishing at different water levels, sticky powder can also be used to adjust the bait state. 2. Characteristics of fish After many years of research, it is found that silver carp is very impatient and easily frightened by noise or the shadow of a bird, and will flee or jump out of the water. After being caught, it is very aggressive, similar to the running characteristics of yellowtail carp. However, silver carp is very gentle and relatively slow in behavior, and it often feels like it is stuck on the bottom in an instant. The tip of the rod sinks and forms a big bend before the line group moves slowly. 3. Fishing gear There are two types of fishing gear for silver carp and bighead carp: sea fishing and platform fishing. I don't like the sea fishing method because I think it doesn't have high technology content. Now I will mainly introduce the platform fishing gear. Fishing rod: 4.5, 5.4, 6.3 meters in length, too long is not used. Generally, 4.5 meters 28-character fishing rods are used in breeding waters, and 5.4 or 6.3 meters 37-28 fishing rods are used for big fish. The reason is that the density of silver carp and bighead carp in breeding waters is large and not so scared, and short rods and hard-characterized fishing rods are good for catching fish; while silver carp and bighead carp are afraid of being scared in the wild, so long rods are used for fishing far and deep. It is not easy to catch big fish, and soft rods are not easy to lose fish. Fishing rig: Use slightly larger fishing rigs and larger Kanto and Shin-Kanto hooks in the breeding area; use smaller fishing rigs and hooks for big fish. A 4.5-meter hand rod uses a 3+2 fishing rig, which is very exciting for catfish weighing about 8 pounds. Fishing float: When fishing for silver carp and bighead carp, generally use a No. 3 or above thick body and long tail keyword fish float, which is convenient for floating fishing with rock rod. 4. Position selection The key points are fishing spots downwind of water conservancy hubs, deep embankments, river inlet pipes, and whirlpools, where the water level is moderate, with no water or little water loss. 5. Fishing methods The key to fishing for silver carp and bighead carp is to make a nest, which should be made in an area where the water is not too fluid. One person can practice throwing nests to gather fish, and it is best for several people to fish together at a close distance. Try to keep quiet and don't make noise before catching a fish to prevent the fish from being startled. Fishing adjustment: I usually use bait to adjust the float, and the line group is required to be adjusted to 1-2 mesh from the bottom with double baits; the frequency of the rock rod should be frequently thrown to gather fish in the early stage, and after the fish are gathered, the swimming layer of silver carp and bighead carp should be found from top to bottom at a depth of 30cm. After the float has a movement, the frequency of 2 rods per minute should be used to guard the fish; double bait can be used in the early stage, and after the fish is gradually caught, a single hook can be used to bait; when fishing, the nest should be replenished in time to retain the fish. 6. Four Seasons The four seasons are different throughout the year. When fishing for silver carp and bighead carp, the selection of positions, bait, and fishing intensity should all be changed in a timely manner. Follow the rules of baiting: fishy in spring, light in summer, fragrant in autumn, and heavy in winter; fish shallow in summer and deep in winter; fish in the shade in summer and in the leeward and sunny in winter... 1. Find the deepest location in the water. Whether fishing for silver carp and bighead carp in a black pit or a reservoir, you must find a way to find the deepest location in the water. The deeper the location, the more silver carp and bighead carp there are. Then our fishing position should face the deep water area, use a long rod to fish, try to fish farther, and the length of the fishing rod should be more than 6.3 meters. 2. The correct fishing water layer. Silver carp and bighead carp are upper layer fish, mainly foraging in the middle and upper layers of the water body. When we fish for silver carp and bighead carp, we first fish in the water layer with a depth of 1.5 to 2 meters. If there is no movement after fishing for a long time, we can try to fish deeper, from 2 meters to deeper, and the depth of 2 to 4 meters is fine, because the larger the silver carp and bighead carp, the smaller the density, and the deeper the water layer; the smaller the silver carp and bighead carp, the greater the density, and the shallower the water layer. 3. Look at the floating catch skills. When fishing for silver carp and bighead carp, it is also important to look at the floating catch. When you first start fishing, pump as frequently as possible in the early stages, at least once a minute regardless of whether there is any movement. Lift the rod as soon as you see movement in the float. After the fish enter the nest and bite a lot, lift the rod when the bite is big. This can greatly reduce the empty rod rate and increase the hit rate. 1. Hand rod floating fishing: In recent years, hand rod floating fishing for silver carp and bighead carp has become more and more popular. Choose a 5.4m or 6.3m high carbon fishing rod, the waist strength must be good, and it is easy to control the fish. Silver carp and bighead carp special spring line group 3+2 (Figure 1 below), silver carp and bighead carp special hook 8 (Figure 2 below), anti-unhooking, long tail and long legs, large lead, jujube-shaped floating. When fishing silver carp and bighead carp with a hand rod, the frequency of casting the rod must be controlled at 2-5 rods/minute. 2. Explosive hook floating fishing: Explosive hook floating fishing for silver carp and bighead carp is more time-saving and labor-saving. It is recommended to use a sea rod of more than 2.7 meters together, and throw one every 5 meters, so as to form a three-dimensional atomization area on the wide water surface, attracting groups of silver carp and bighead carp to suck the bait. The depth of floating fishing is controlled at about 1 meter, and it is matched with a special bait cage for silver carp and bighead carp. The method of use is shown in the figure below. Similarly, the bait should be atomized quickly, and no residual bait should be seen in the cage every time the bait is changed. Be sure to find the deepest part of the water area, and then have the correct fishing water layer and the skills of casting the rod to lure fish. When fishing, never cast the nest with your hands, and be sure to watch the float and catch the mouth. |
