CATDOLL: Goldfish has laid eggs, what should I do?

1. What should I do if the goldfish lays eggs?

No matter what, let it be

Keep the filter on for 24 hours and take out all the fish. If the eggs are white, it is recommended to clean the tank and put the fish back in the tank.

2. My goldfish is about to lay eggs, what should I do?

Buy a new fish tank, dry a basin of water, go to the river to plant some water plants, soak it in light salt water for 5 minutes, rinse it clean, tie up the lower part, use copper coins to adjust it, and put it in a new fish tank. Put the fish tank in a ventilated and sunny place. Tomorrow you can choose the female and male fish to lay eggs in it. Note that tomorrow morning, soak your hands in the new fish tank first, try to make your hand temperature close to the water temperature. Hold the female fish with your left hand and the male fish with your right hand. Hold the two fish together and put them in the new fish tank. Press the abdomen of the two fish gently with your thumb. You will see the female fish's eggs discharged and the male fish's white smoke-like sperm discharged. Keep the distance between the male and female. Slowly let the fish eggs pour on the fish grass prepared in advance. It will take about 2 minutes. After that, put the fish in the old fish tank. The new fish tank cannot be vibrated for a month afterwards, because the fins of the hatched fry will be wrinkled if there is vibration, which affects the appearance. After a week, the fish eggs will grow fine hairs like mold and change color to milky white. These are fertilized eggs. After a week or so, the fry will hatch and float on the water. There should be no fluctuations at this time because the fry will vibrate when they are growing their tails, and this will also affect the beauty of the tail. After half a month, you can put a small amount of egg yolk in the fish tank. Remember not to put too much. Small fish don't have a large appetite and too much egg yolk will easily cause the water quality to deteriorate. It's fun!

3. What should I do after the goldfish lays eggs?

Can hatch goldfish eggs.

After cleaning the fish pond (basin, tank), fill it with freshly dried water, and it can be used as a hatching pond. When the water temperature is consistent with the water temperature required by the spawning pond, put the egg-laying fish nest. Generally, about 6 egg-laying fish nests can be placed in a 2-meter square pond. Don't put them too densely, because the hatched fish will live in the pond for 20-30 days until the stage before the juvenile fish.

The fertilized eggs are orange-yellow and translucent, with a diameter of 0.1 to 0.12 cm. 24 hours after the female fish lays eggs, if milky white eggs are found on the fish nest, they are unfertilized eggs and will die immediately. They should be gently removed with tweezers in time to prevent them from rotting and deteriorating the water quality or causing water mold infection that endangers the entire pond. The orange-yellow fertilized eggs are incubated for 2-3 days at a water temperature of 15-16 degrees. From the outside, the transparency of the fertilized eggs gradually decreases, and a small black dot gradually appears. This is the first head of the young fish, called the eye spot. After another 2-3 days, a flesh-colored round ball gradually forms around this black spot, which is the body of the goldfish. At this time, under a magnifying glass, it can be seen that the tail of the fry embryo is constantly swinging in the egg, intermittently, from weak to strong, and finally breaks out of the egg.

Within the suitable temperature range, the length of the incubation time varies with the temperature. When the water temperature is high, the incubation time is short, and vice versa. When the water temperature is 15-16 degrees, the incubation time is about 7 days; when the water temperature is 18-19 degrees, it only takes 4-5 days. If the water temperature rises to 20 degrees, it only takes 3 days; when the water temperature rises to 25 degrees, the fry can be hatched in two days. The fry hatched in 6-7 days at a water temperature of 16-18 degrees have the best physique. During incubation, it is necessary to prevent drastic changes in water temperature, such as strong sunlight during the day, high temperatures or sudden changes in climate. In order to keep warm, timely measures such as covering with reed curtains or plastic films should be taken to prevent the water temperature from rising and falling sharply, and at the same time keep the water quality fresh. When the surface of the hatching pool is covered with dust, it is necessary to use clean gauze to gently pull it along the water surface.

During natural reproduction, if we can consider the impact of environmental factors on goldfish reproduction, it is very beneficial to purposefully control environmental conditions. For example, fish nests made of fresh aquatic plants, new water with high oxygen content, and weather conditions before rain can stimulate parent fish to estrus and lay eggs. But the most important thing is water temperature. The suitable temperature for goldfish reproduction is 14-28 degrees. The hatched fry at 17-18 degrees develop best and have the strongest physique. Therefore, during the goldfish breeding period, we should try to make full use of these rules. For example, during the hatching period, try to stabilize the water temperature at around 18 degrees to ensure that you can get strong fry.

4. What should I do if my goldfish lays eggs?

To breed goldfish, you must first select the right species. Before selecting the species, you must first observe the fish's "star chasing" to distinguish between male and female. "Star chasing" refers to the sesame-sized white bumps on the gill covers, dorsal fins and front paddling tips of male fish. If there is no "star chasing", it is a female fish (immature male fish also do not have "star chasing").

When selecting fish, you should choose fish with strong bodies, pure breeds and good body shape. When mating fish, you should choose a female fish of the same breed with a male fish of similar characteristics. If there are two female fish, you should pair them with two male fish, and so on. Goldfish fertilization is carried out in vitro. When a female fish ovulates, a male fish must follow up and release sperm, so that the fertilization process can be completed, otherwise no fish will be produced.

After choosing the seeds, put a bunch of phoenix grass in the fish tank. If there is no phoenix grass, use other water plants, or even old palm fiber or hemp fiber instead. Then put the seeds together, and move other irrelevant goldfish to other fish tanks.

After the breeding fish have spawned, the female fish must be immediately caught and placed in another fish tank for separate breeding. The tank with the male fish must be immediately replaced with new water. Failure to do so will cause the water to become rancid and the breeding fish to die.

Whether it is a new fish being spawned for the first time or an old fish that has been spawned for many years, it is generally necessary to spawn three times during the breeding period, with an interval of about one week between each spawning. The quality of the roe is generally better in the second spawning.

After the roe is scattered, it should be immediately taken out of the tank together with the phoenix grass and placed in another fish tank with clean water. However, the fish tank must be larger, because hundreds of hatched young fish will live in this tank for a period of time. The tank should be placed in a ventilated and sunny place. After 2 to 3 days, the transparency of the roe will gradually decrease, and a black spot will appear at the same time. This is the head of the young fish; after 3 to 5 days, this black spot will expand into a circle, which is the body of the young fish; and soon after, a small goldfish will be hatched.

When the goldfish hatch, they are very tiny. In the first few days, they will not eat or move, and will cling to the bottom of the tank, the tank wall, and the original phoenix grass. At this time, do not disturb them, and do not rush to remove the phoenix grass from the tank.

When hatching fish, if it rains continuously or the weather is particularly humid, it is not good for the growth of the fish eggs. Often, the fish eggs will still not change after a week, and some of them will even grow mold or rot. At this time, you don't have to worry, just move the fish tank to a ventilated place, and after a while, the goldfish will still hatch, but in smaller quantities.

The method of feeding young fish is the same as that of feeding big fish, that is, to ensure that the water is clean and the food is sufficient. At the beginning, it is best to feed the young fish with some light yellow water fleas (commonly known as egg yolk fish worms) or cooked egg yolks. You can also take some live fish worms and put them in the fish tank for hatching before the little goldfish is born.
