Where are crabs produced? 1. Production area

The main producing areas of crabs in my country are Hubei, Nanjing, Jiangsu, Anhui, Langfang, Ma'anshan, Tianjin and other regions. Among them, Ezhou, Hubei mainly produces Liangzi Lake hairy crabs, Suzhou, Jiangsu mainly produces Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs, Hefei mainly produces Chaohu Lake crabs, and Gaochun, Jiangsu mainly produces Gucheng Lake hairy crabs.

2. Crab species

There are more than 4,000 species of crabs. The more common edible ones include the deep-sea swimming crab, blue crab, Chinese mitten crab and three-spotted swimming crab. Among them, the deep-sea swimming crab is an important marine fishing crab in my country. The blue crab is large in size and tastes delicious, while the Chinese mitten crab is the main farmed species in my country.

3. Feeding management

When breeding crabs, the specific feeding frequency needs to be determined according to seasonal changes and the weight of the crabs. When feeding crabs, they need to be provided with foods with high protein content such as earthworms, small fish, shrimps, bean cakes, fish meal, etc., and the feed must be clean and fresh to prevent the crabs from dying.

4. Patrol the pond

When breeding crabs, it is necessary to inspect the pond 1-2 times a day and remove the leftover food residues of the crabs in the pond to prevent the water from becoming turbid. In addition, oxygen supply equipment should be added to the water to increase the oxygen content in the water and reduce the mortality rate of crabs.
