CATDOLL: Loach breeding environment

1. Loach breeding environment

When breeding loaches, you need to build a place in a place with good water quality and sufficient water source, and the soil of the pond should preferably be sandy loam. When feeding loaches, you can feed them fish meal, animal offal, vegetables and other foods. In summer, you need to build a shade net above the pond to maintain the normal growth of loaches.

How to breed loach 1. Establish a place

Loaches have high requirements for water quality. When breeding loaches, if the water quality of the pond is poor, it will cause the loaches to grow slowly or even cause large-scale death. It is necessary to set up a pond in a place with sufficient water source and a water quality pH of 7-8.5, and the soil under the pond should preferably be sandy loam to facilitate the movement of loaches.

2. Feeding

Loaches like to forage at night. When feeding loaches, they need to be fed bait at night. In the loach fry stage, they need to be fed powdered feed such as egg yolk, algae and plant debris. In the adult loach stage, they need to be fed granular feed made of a mixture of rice bran, wheat bran cake powder and fish meal.

3. Suitable water temperature

Loaches grow best in water with a temperature of 10-30 degrees and are most active in water with a temperature of 25-28 degrees. When breeding loaches in the summer, you need to build a shade net on the pond or add ice cubes into the pond to lower the water temperature. When breeding loaches in the winter, you need to use a heater to raise the water temperature.

4. Regular inspections

When breeding loaches, you need to inspect the pond once every morning and evening. If you find any dead loaches, you must immediately remove the bodies from the pond and remove any uneaten bait from the pond to prevent the feed from spoiling. You must also check whether the pond is leaking water and whether any loaches have escaped.

2. Loach breeding base

Jinhua Hengyuan Loach Breeding Base. We visited their base before cooperating with them. It is quite large. The seedlings there are all hatched by themselves, and the survival rate is quite high. Later, we got the seedlings from them.
