How to catch reservoir crabs in November and December

Set up a trap and use pig liver or other internal organs as bait.

Generally, traps are set in shallow and medium water areas with lush aquatic plants. Pig liver or other offal is used as bait, because offal has a stronger flavor than ordinary meat and is more attractive to crabs in large waters. Since crabs are nocturnal, traps are set in the evening every day and collected the next morning. You can also use a dip net to catch crabs in the streams beside the reservoir after 10 pm every night. When you shine a strong flashlight on the crab's eyes, it will reflect light, which is very obvious at night. When you shine it, the crab will react very slowly and cannot tell the direction, so it is easy to catch.

There are many crabs in the reservoir. How to catch them?

Crabs are the easiest to catch. Here’s a secret recipe: Use chicken intestines! You never miss a single shot! Just cut into 10cm lengths, tie a line and you’re done! You don’t even need a hook! You can put it in a few more spots! The key is not to pull it out of the water (it’s easy to get out), but to prepare a long scoop net and use it to scoop it out from the water when it comes out! Not a single one can escape!

Fishing with small fish and shrimp is the most efficient. But the reservoir will be managed by someone, after all, it is the source of drinking water. The punishment will be very severe. So there will be a lot of fish, shrimp and crabs in the reservoir. Haha, I guess people have known about it for a long time, but no one dares to go fishing. Give up this idea.

When it gets dark, hang a bright torch or light bulb on the shore and the crabs will crawl up by themselves.
