How to raise geese in the north?1. Appropriate feeding The selected breeding geese are in the important period of growth and development and molting. The breeding industry must strengthen feeding management and should not feed them too early. Appropriate feeding should be carried out according to the specific fatness of the geese, generally 50 to 100 grams of cornmeal per day. 2. Appropriate roughage The breeding geese are switched to roughage feeding when their feathers are fully grown at about 100 days old. Roughage feeding can inhibit the sexual maturity of the breeding geese and prevent the geese from laying eggs too early. At the same time, it can also prevent the geese from being too fat and reduce the egg production rate after the geese start laying eggs. Therefore, after the breeding geese are 100 days old, if they are still in good condition, they should be switched to roughage feeding. 3. Proper feeding From mid-to-late November, the breeding geese are fed in full-house feeding. During the feeding period of the breeding industry, roughage should be the main feed, three times a day, with fixed time and variable quantity. The feed mainly includes rice bran, wheat bran, soybean leaf powder, bean pod powder, beet leaf powder, corn stalk powder, sunflower plate powder, leaf powder, cornmeal, barnyard grass seeds, weed seeds, etc., which are mixed and softened with water before feeding. If conditions permit, it is best to feed micro-storage feed. After February, the weather gradually warms up and the daylight grows longer. At this time, feed is added, and cooked food and night food are given. 4. Insulation and cold protection The goose house should be spacious and bright, with appropriate humidity, and pay attention to heat preservation, ventilation and warmth to avoid excessive energy consumption and feed waste of the goose, and ensure the healthy and normal growth and development of the reserve geese. The bedding in the house should be changed frequently, and drinking water and gravel should be guaranteed. ① Feeding method for young geese: As the digestive organs of young geese under one month old are still in the development stage, their digestion and absorption functions are relatively weak. Therefore, the fresh grass must be cut into 1-2 cm long pieces and mixed with a small amount of concentrate (the ratio of grass pieces to concentrate is about 10:1, that is, 10 kg of green grass to 1 kg of chicken feed). Feed 4-5 times a day. The amount of feed increases gradually with the age of the goose. ② Feeding method for middle-aged geese: During the second month of age, farmed geese grow vigorously and have a large appetite. During this period, fresh ryegrass should be adequately supplied, with 1.5-2.0 kg per goose per day, and the amount of concentrated feed should be reduced. Generally, 14 kg of ryegrass and 1 kg of concentrated feed can meet their weight gain needs. Cut the green grass into 2-3 cm pieces. ③ Feeding method of geese: After 60 days of age, each goose can be fed 2-2.5 kg of green ryegrass every day. The amount of concentrated feed can be reduced again, and the amount of cooked sweet potatoes can be increased to achieve the purpose of fattening. |
